Three years after the events of Symphony of the Night, and adventurer named Armund DeNasty set forth to find out more about his family's past. He wanted to know how his ancestor Grant got involved with the destruction of Count Dracula. All the clues he got pointed towards the castle of Count Orlox. Little did he know that an old enemy of the DeNasty name was watching him though...

Level 1 (GFX mostly done) - Entrance to Orlox's Castle:

Level 2 (just started tonight) - Royal Chessboard:

Everything looks good except for those chess pieces. They just don't fit in well.

I disagree, Arthus. The pawns look all right to me, although they could use a little more depth and some black pawns. The background in the third screenshot looks slightly odd though. Other than that, I see nothing wrong. Good work, Dr. Mario.

Yeah, I probably won't get to level edits for a while. The way I hack CV is that I do all of the GFX first, and then I make new levels, so as of right now I'll just be showing off new graphics. So if I keep working on it, it will probably be a month or two before I make new level designs.

**EDIT**

New walls.

Upon realizing that I can double post now, I guess I should put in all the progress that I've been stuffing in the General Screenshot sticky.

nice work, dm. i like the concept.

8-bit olrox looks pretty sweet, as do the other sprites
and you've even made the title sound like the newer (song) of (something) named ones

Yup, its some interesting graphics. I think thats the first time I saw some chess in castlevania but it seems like a theme that could work. They got a toy room in castlevania chronicles after all.
