We have a dog, a tibetanian spaniel, which is a small breed. His name is Jonas, and we've had him since spring 2003. He was born on the 20th November 2002, which means his birthday is 10 days before mine.

He barks at everything and everyone walking by the house. He had this duck with a small bell in it, which was his favourite toy. I'm saying was, because we had to throw it away, because it had been bitten to pieces, and he had started to eat up the insides. He would also do anything to sink his teeth into a piece of cheese.. (That sounds like a really crappy rhyme..)

My sister has a bunch of hampsters. I'm not sure how many (numbers have been varying..). I think there's two or three of them at the moment.

We also had a cat of the forest type (meaning he was rather big, had thick fur, and could spend lots of time outside.) His name was Teodor, his fur was orange, and his belly was white. And yes, he was bigger than our current dog.

We don't have him anymore now, as he was hit by a car on the main road.

My parents have had two dogs before this as well, but I was so little, I do not remember anything from it. One of them was a black boarder collie (I think), and the other was just a mixture of lots of different breeds.

We have two cats that we adopted from Setzer 3 1/2 years ago. Their adoption anniversary is August 31.

Chester is tall and long and has big feet. He likes to play fetch with his toys, locate said toys and howl for attention, jump into bed and headbutt my face and try to take over my pillow, and get into everything he can. If that cat had opposable thumbs, we'd be in trouble. He's very chatty. There's a good reason we call him Mr. Whiny. He'll complain about nothing, and we pick him up and hold him and he immediately starts rumbling.

Cookie is smaller and slightly quieter and sounds like she's snorting when she purrs. She guards the door and sings to us when we try to leave. If she sees a box, she has to try to sit in it no matter how little it is. When people are over, she will contentedly hang out in a box and let us pass her around.

I currently 3 cats. One of them is 11 years old and the other two kittens barely turned 2 last month. The old cat's name is Pepe and the kittens name is Sofie and Bobby. Recently, my cat Pepe has been bringing dead rabbits to my porch for the past two days. I have no idea why he does that though. As for Sofie and Bobby, they are housecats and they pretty much eat , sleep, and sometimes play with each other.

I had plenty of other cats throughout my life but most of them have died or ran away and I can't remember all the cats name.

That's my 4+ year old Black Labrador Mix, Diablo. He's about 125 lb (what is that in kg, 60-something?) and his birthday is June 16th.

In August 2001, I had taken a trip to Wisconsin Dells (best waterpark in the nation (Noah's Ark) there!) on vacation. On the way back (about a 2 hour drive), we called my grandparents and they said they had a present waiting for me at home (my birthday is August 30th). Upon getting home, my grandpa told me it was in his room with my grandma. She opened the door and this little black puppy walks out. The name came to me immediately (I was a huge Diablo II player back then ). That night, I slept on the floor with him in the living room. He was curled up into a ball next to my head.

A couple months pass, and everything's going great. Problem is, he's getting way too big for the cage we bought him to sleep in. So one day, I ask if I can have Diablo sleep on my bed with me. It's been like that ever since ^^.

I have so many great memories with this dog. I really think it's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

----------------------------------

About a month ago we bought a Columbian Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor. My father, being a fan of ancient history, named him Percious (Per-see-us). Short is Percy ^^. Anyway, he's about a year or so old and is about 3 1/2 feet long (I'm too lazy to convert into metrics ). We have him in a 40 gallon (again, too lazy to convert) breeder tank with an automatic lock (no getting out ). In his terrarium (did I spell that right?) he has a branch to climb on, a log to lay under and bask, and his substrate (the stuff on the bottom) is aspen shavings. We heat the terrarium with a heat lamp during the day and heat pads at night. During the day, the bright side of the terrarium is 95 degrees farenheit (damn, I'm not having a good day with spelling ) and the dark side is 84 degrees farenheit. Just about perfect.

We take him out every other day to get him used to handling (he hasn't bit anyone yet!), and I have to say, it's pretty awesome holding him. He wrapped around my arm once, and YIKES! it hurt . We also fill up a large rubbermaid bin with warm water (maybe 80 degrees farenheit or so?) and let him soak for an hour every three or four days.

Eating is the best thing the snake does. We feed him in a seperate, smaller terrarium so he won't think everytime we take him out of his normal cage it's time to eat, therefore biting. When he kills his food (mice, rats, later on rabbits (damn I'm morbid)) he curls himself into a continuous "S" shape and raises his head inches off the bottom of the terrarium. The mouse/rat will move a little bit closer, not knowing the snake is there, and WHAM!, like lightning, he snatches the mouse/rat and immediately constricts himself around it. Under a minute later it's dead and already going into his mouth. He opens his mouth really wide and "climbs" over the prey with his upper jaw. Really cool!

Wow, this thread got big over night. (And a day and an afternoon)

Some one asked me to talk about mjy pets, well, my dog is an Austrailian Shepherd mix (Of somethings I don't know) she is very nice (yes SHE, odd cuz her name is Yoda...) she is into licking every thing, likes to run and smell. (I'll edit this post to talk about the others)

Very, very fucked up. I had a female American Eskimo that we resuced from a shelter in Texas a year ago. Her name was Yoda because if you looked at the back of her head, the way her ears were shaped she looked just like Yoda. We had to give her up though because she was used to living in my dad's semi but she became a house dog and didn't adjust well...)

Well then, you shouldn't be looking at ferrets then. Jesus lord almighty, they're rank. If you're looking for a small, furry, inside animal, try gerbils. They're rather easy to care for. Just watch out for their stomachs...I had two die of some kind of stomach cancer/ulcer, and it's not pretty.

Ferrets don't stink if they're fixed. =X

I suggest rats! Seriously, they're super intelligent and I had a few until I had to give them up to a friend for caretaking and then his house burnt down and they died. When my boyfriend and I get our own place (we're living with his parents now), we totally plan on getting another rat or two. But don't get just one if you don't plan on spending a lot of time with it. Rats are VERY social animals and can get super depressed if they're just left alone.

(Thats a lot of quotes.)

I own 2 rats, and they are VERY nice. They get a lot of bad rep from Black Death in England, but they don't carry this and they don't bite, they are quite cute . I would keeep 2 in a cage so they don't get very lonely... So in short, GO FOR RATS!

i have guppies(we live in an apartment, so no cats or dogs, only birds or fish)
my female guppy"melody" just had fry over the weekend
i managed to save 16
it wouldve been 17 but she ate 1 before i put her in a container
no telling how many she has actually eaten tho
cause guppies have upto 20-100 fry
now the fry are rapidly growing in a 5 gallon tank
as soon as they get 3-4 weeks old i can start seperating them
"soo they dont mate with eachother"

so right now i have
20 guppies and 2 glow-light tetras

4 guppies are adults
tiger jr.(male)
melody(female)
lablue(female)
sunshine(female)

the 2 glowlight tetras are
grim
evil
"evil is much bigger than grim , but grim chases evil"

ive been worried about evil lately tho
because he recently started chasing the guppies
especially tiger jr.
recently he was seen chasing sunshine too soo i put him in a floating container
to see if his behavior improves
cause as far as ive know hes never chased the guppies before
anyone have anythoughts on this?
cause guppies and tetras are supposed to be tank mates
he is a large glow-light compared to grim
i just dont want my guppies nibbled at

I have.. a lot of pets. heheh

Here in NY, we have 4 cats:

Priscilla, also known as Fluffa or Princess Fluffybutt (or many variations thereof), is a ..well, my boyfriend's mom says she's a Maine Coon cat, but she doesn't have pointy ears, so I dunno. She's grey, with really pretty green eyes. ^^ She's really odd sometimes. heheh Then again, most cats have.. personality. XD She meows a lot, especially when you pet her. Sometimes you don't even have to touch her yet, and she'll meow. We make jokes like "Hey, stop killing poor Fluffa" whenever someone's petting her, because she's just that loud. She sounds like you've insulted her, every time, but eventually she quiets down and just sits and purrs. She lets Chris or I use her as a pillow, and generally lets you move her however you need to to get comfortable. heheh She's definitely my favourite cat here. :3

Cali, also known as Tubba, or (to me) Calily, is a calico cat. She's really chubby, and she kind of waddles when she walks. She's actually a really tiny cat, she's just got a really big belly. She purrs really loudly, especially if there's another cat in the room purring. She seems to want to out-purr the others. She also randomly sits (usually on the couch) and yowls. Loudly. I've been woken up several times by the sound of that yowl. Sometimes I wonder if she's trying to make up for how tiny she is.

Sam, knowns as simply Sam, is.. orange. ? He's got the cutest striped tail though. It's like it fades from orange to white by degrees. ..darn, I thought I had a picture of a cat that had a tail kind of like his. Ah well. =/ Sam is incredibly agreeable. He'll let you poke and prod him, and he just looks at you. He loves chicken, and if we're making something with it, he's CONSTANTLY weaving around our legs. It can be dangerous sometimes, if we forget he's there. heheh He's got a "girl cat" meow.. small and ...I don't know. It's just.. girly. xD He snorts instead of purring.

Then there's Spook. She's a Siamese cat. She's.. well, she takes after her name. Usually it's "Hi and bye, Spook's butt." when we see her. Lately though, she's actually coming up to me and letting me pet her a little. DDDD Serious progress. heheh She still runs any time she sees Chris though. =/ I think it may have something to do with the fact that he and his friend tried to catch her the one day.. probably traumatized the poor thing. >0 She's a gorgeous cat. Her markings are really distinct. I'm assuming she's not full-blooded Siamese, because she's got stripes on her face and stuff. heheh She's adorable though. :3 She has the tiiiiniest~ meow. ^^;

Then at home(in Ontario), I left behind:

Monty, "my" cat. His full name is Marquis de Montcalm (and no, I didn't name him). He tends to act like he owns the place though. heheh He's black and white, and.. really huge. When he stretches up, he can put his paws on my hip and butt my elbow with his head to get my attention. He's my baby (which is probably why he acts the way he does. ;p) <3 He follows me around like a puppy. heheh. ^^; I was really, really sad when I had to leave him behind. When we move, I want to go get him and bring him with me. He sneaks inside any time the door's open at my parents place, so I think he'd be fine as an indoor cat. heheh I could ramble about him a LOT, so.. I think I'll move on before I do. xD;;

Phantom, one of my little brothers' cat, is, as you might guess, black. Completely. He's kind of shy and doesn't like to be picked up and held for very long, but he loves being petted. He has a really, really quiet meow. He refused to go to the new place when my parents moved, so he's still at my old house. I hope the new owners are taking good care of him. =/ My little brother was really sad about that, but he goes and visits sometimes.

My parents got two new kittens after I left. They're both grey, but one's a wee bit striped. They named them Smokey and Bandit. heh They're cute and cuddly and whatnot, but I haven't spent enough time with them to really know their personalities that well. =/

Ginger, my dog. She's ..well, ginger coloured, with brown eyes, and a brown nose. She's a real sweetheart. <3 She's really funny when it comes to cats though. She's fine with ours, and will let them sleep in her doghouse, but if any other cat dares to come onto our property, she spazzes out and chases it up a tree. We got her from the Humane Society, and they apparently found her in a puppy mill. At first she was a bit.. weird, as might be expected, but once she got used to us and our place, she's just... awesome. :3 She loves to play, and she's incredibly smart. She's TERRIFIED of storms though. We usually had to let her down into the basement during storms, because she'd throw herself at the door, trying to get in. >.< I really miss her. =/

Suzy, my horse. <3 (Well, technically my mom's, but miiinor detail *waves that thought away like a pesky fly* ;p) Her full name's Suzy Q T Skipper. She's an American Quarter Horse. She's also a funny creature. heheh She doesn't like saddles much. I'm too chicken to ride her bareback though. I have an issue with heights, so I would generally just go out and sit or walk around with her, rather than ride her. I used to love riding horses when I was younger, but now it's hard for me to relax. Suzy's really gentle with me when I ride her though. I think she can feel how nervous I am or something. She's kind of skittish and bouncy when other people ride her, but she tends to stay calm when I do. o.o I miss her too. =/

I have.. too many pets that are gone for me to go through them all. This post is already really long as it is. heheh That, and I'll get all emo. >> So yeah. Those are my pets. <3 Oh. My parents live on a farm, so we also technically have a LOT of pigs, but.. they don't really count as pets. heheh

Also, I was going to colour their names to break this up a bit, but.. I don't remember how. xD;;

~Aiya.

Edit: Colours.

I have two cats at home, Luna and Gigi. Gigi is a little black cat and was named after the kitty from Kiki's Delivery Service. Luna is silvery white and just so fluffy *_* They live back home with my mom, I miss them so much D= Gigi used to cuddle up next to me in my bed, too!

My aunt has a kitten named Cocoa, who is the most adorable little brown kitten with a white patch on the bottom. He's so cute my family are real cat people. My sister used to have a bunny, I forgot its name but it lives with one of her friends now. It was cute but I don't remember it very much .__.;;

I only have one dog as of now, although our family has had a bunch of pets. No cats, though. My dad hates them for reasons during his childhood.

My dog's name is Midnight, probably due to the fact that she is pure black except her paws. She is a collie mix (well, I am unsure, but she does look like a collie). Best dog ever some times. She rarely gets in trouble and when she does do something bad (such as tear up the trash) we chain her up for a night and she learns her lesson. Heh. For an outside dog, she doesn't really do much but chill all day.
When we refill her water tub for drinking, she lays down in the water, then drinks my mom's plant water. 0_o
She will never come inside, except one time when my dad had to get another dog out of our yard and scared the hell out of her, which she only entered the front part of the house and went back out. Only time she has done that...

Best part about her: You find a lizard, say "Lizard! Get it!" and she will run to grab that sucker if she can see it! At random times she will chase squirrels as well.

I'll post a picture later.

We only have one dog. She´ll turn 5 this year. In September or November, I think.

She has 4 races in her. Golden Retriever, Papillon, Border Collie and Chow Chow. One of the must un things with her is that she goes crazy as soon as we´ve guests. She barks, whimpers and howls but that´s because she´s happy.

She´s afraid of the lamp we have in the kitchen. We´ve accidently bumped into it when she didn´t look. She also doesn´t like the sound when you open cans of soda.

There she is.

Hey! That sorta looks like my dog, but the tail and ears have shoter hair. I'm glad this thread got so popular Also, my dog barks, but only at night to get one of us to give her attention... My dog tries to be friends with my cat, but my cat always claws her or hisses. My cat is a total black cat, with green eyes and a long tail. She's also fat, VERY fat, almost weighs as mutch as my dog... My dog also loves people and other dogs. Very nice dog .

Eight cats, one dog, and two ferrets. All varing different ages.

Cats are Mousie, Blackie, Cindy, Barry, Harry, Jerry, Angel and Brownie. The last two were strays that we took in and adapted well with the others (not right away of course). All the cats are tabby cats but Blackie is a tortoise shell cat.

Our dog is a black lab mix named Smokey. Ironically he hates fires.

The ferrets names are Taz and Farah. Taz was given to us so we renamed him from his old name Capone. Taz suits him better any way as he acts just like Taz from the Looney Tunes. Getting into all sorts of trouble. I really think he's part albino as he doesn't have all white fur nor red eyes. Yet in a certain lighting his eyes glow red instead of just staying black like the rest of the ferrets which I think is totally cool!

Farah is just a sweetheart and is a silver mitt ferret. She used to be really dark when we got her but now she's pratically white but still has color in her fur though. Thus, making her absolutely adorable that you CAN NOT resist.

Plus ferrets do not smell unless you don't bathe them for a really long time or clean their cage as they usually come desented anyway.

I have 2 cats. One male called Rudolph, and one female called Josephine. Both Norwegian Forest Cats. Well, Rudolph is only half-norwegian since he was born in this very house. Josephine is imported from norway. Umm...

Anyway, Rudolph used to sleep in my bed from 8 AM to 18 PM and 19 PM to somewhere in the night. Lately, Josephine seems to have conquered the bed, though. I wonder if I can make her sleep with me as well.

The two don't like eachother that much.

Rudolph is around 14 years old and weighs approximately 17-18 pounds. Josephine is around 2 or 3 years old, I think.

This is Josephine:

Oh my gosh, how adorable!!

My neighbor has a cat just like that, and it sneaks into my backyard sometimes. When it was a kitten, it let me play with it, but now it runs away. Too bad, cuz it was so cute.
