Pipe Plains 1. The 1-up block.

Also, on the overworld of pipe plains, you've got the wrong tile overlooking the ground below on the hill area.

I fixed the block thing but I don't understand what you mean about the hills. It looks fine to me.

Okay. I fixed those 2 things and I changed the blocks. Sorry if you liked them before but I think they look really good now. I am currently working on world 4.

That's an amazing-ly FLAT new block (minus the 's'). I like it as much as I like getting parking tickets.

I also like your previous block better, it was more "unique".

This is unique; I like it. You've brought an "old-school puzzle" feel to the game, very neat idea! I'm not a fan of standard GFX, but you did a good job with puzzle design! If you don't mind; maybe you could design a couple of puzzles in my hack, later on maybe.

This guy's right. The blocks were never good, as you just tiled existing graphics in a way that was kind-of awkward.

I have updated the demo to go up to the 3rd world (including the intro). The demo also has the new graphics so play through it and tell me what you think.

Hmm...Ice Cave just doesn't seem as quality a world as the previous two. It just wasn't as fun. One previously unmentioned bug is that on the overworld, if you stand on Level 1-1, you can walk onto the pipe to the right. In addition, you should be careful of events. There are many event bugs in the Ice Cave overworld map. In addition, you should make the Lemmy Battle room slippery, and spread out the reflecting fireballs a little bit.

Oh, and the new style of blocks isn't as good as the old style.

I'll do what you said (even change the blocks back) but any suggestions on how to improve the ice world?

I haven't gotten around to playing Ice Cave yet...I will soon

I think if you want to fix up the blocks in the first world, you could either use a different one altogether, or change the palette on it. When I first saw your original blocks, they reminded me of donut lifts for some reason (the ones from YI, but green instead) I thought they looked good, but if other people don't, well, see my above recommendation

Changing the palate sounds good. I think I will do that.

P.S.I already changed the blocks back.

It looks a lot like GB Donkey Kong, may you could work a little bit with the BG, so that it fits more to the FG.

I might work woth the background but what I am mainly working on is the level design.

Earlier it was mentioned that I should change the colour of the blocks. How does this look?

I'm more for the green look, where it's part of the outer wall.

Thats what I was thinking. It looks a bit off when it's not the same colour as the wall. What do others think?

P.S. For those who have played Icy Cave 2-2 I'm changing that level completely.
