Here is the link to the demo (updated!)-http://www.andyshack.cjb.net/

This hack is like the games Donkey Kong for GB and Mario vs Donkey Kong for the GBA.

What you have to do in each level is find the key and take it to the key hole just like in the 2 games listed above.

Here are the screen shots.

*NOTES*

The goombas in my hack are squishable but they do not have the squished frame.

My hack consists of 15 levels (or the first 3 worlds).

The first world is an introduction to the game. Please don't judge my hack on that

The title screen is not finished yet.

There is a 0 at the top of the screen that I can not remove.

Big red spaces on the map represent boss stages. There are no secret exits in this game.
---

Please post comments or anything else about my hack.

Wow. That has to be the most unique and out-of-the-blue idea I've ever seen. Great creativity

I think the levels look great! I love the border around them. One thing though - in the first screenie, what is that blue thing on the left wall?

Other than that it looks really creative and original. Great job

The blue thing is the info box. I changed the graphics of it . It is now a purple box with a small "i" in the middle.

You didn't even use much exgfx, and this is a wonderful hack already!

Just a few notes (related to SMWC)

1) Please double check that the ips file works before zipping it and uploading it. Try to only upload it once.
2) Don't link to the file before it has been approved. Once it's approved (which it has been), you have to edit the link. (The link in the first post is currently dead, in other words)
3) "Website / AcmlmBoard User ID" means either your website address or your ID number on the board, not your board nickname. (Your ID number is 75, in case you didn't already know)

I like it. It's simplistic, yet it is right on the mark of being excellent just because of said simplicity. Keep up the good work, and I am looking forward to this one.

That's nice, one of the best concepts I've ever seen. I just finished intro world. You forgot to state, though, that Blue shell-less koopas kick shells. either way, it's great! 9/10! it's just the blocks look ugly, too. just floating pieces of ground...

I just played the demo, and it was hella fun. I just haveone small complaint though...I STRONGLY suggest giving a bit more time in the Pipe Plains levels - P.P. 1 took me quite a few tries because I kept running out of time.

Other than that, I loved it. I can't wait for more

In the first real level, how do you get back past the part where the blue koopa was?

The key can be used to hit blocks.

P.S. I might change the graphics of the blocks. Thanks for the suggestions.

I agree here. With the time limit the level is quite hard, and the level after that is surprisingly easy and short, so it would be maybe very helpful to increase the time limit PP1 and/or switch the levels around.

The part in where you need the key to hit the blocks is also not that easy, because it happens very often, that you put the key through the blocks to the other side and after that you are stuck.

Besides that, the demo is cool so far, and the concept is very original. I also had no problems with the graphics, I think they fit the hack quite good.

It's not bad for a first attempt, but it needs to be touched up. For one, get rid of the glitches... And remember, if you get a coin by hitting a block below it, that coin is turned into an invisible brick. That's annoying. And you should probably get ExGFX on the piranha plants. They don't look good when you can only see the head
