Troy let out a dull oomph as his chin met the snow. Slowly he pushed himself back up, showing no signs of weariness from the cold - at least not on the outside.

Troy: Unngh... ah hell, what was that for?!

A large man stood over top of him, his arms folded over top of a rapier. He let out a dull chuckle, as did some other people nearby. Some had stopped to watch the duel, others were carrying on fights of their own. Troy and his opponent stood in a narrow path through pale rock cliffs on each side. A thin layer of snow coated the ground all around them, leading off to an opening into a large field nearby. Twisted, beaten trees dotted the landscape.

Man: Well, good thing your daddy didn't give you a sword, who KNOWS how much damage you could do to yourself with one...

Troy stuck his keyblade out into the air, wavering. His fist was clenched tightly around a shaft of white metal contained in a ring of red, which extended outwards. At the end it bent around into itself in a semicircle, with parallel cherry-red strips of metal jutting out. The koopa's grin twisted as he shuffled uneasily in his royal blue shell.

Troy: R-rematch! You know you wanna!

Man: I'm just gonna let you meditate on this. And suck less. Lemme know when you think you're ready.

A vein bulged on Troy's head as the person turned and started walking away. Troy growled, stepping forward and slipping on the snow again, landing flat on his back. Rolling over he pried himself up again, the laughs of people nearby ringing in his ears.

Troy: *phew* Why am I even staying on this world for so long, I gotta get back to the Nexus before Sirius throws another hissyfit... I should be heading back to Jeuno to make my preperations...

Word floated in that another potential Keyper would be found at these stellar coordinates. I warped there as quickly as I could. Those claims turned out to be completely false, maybe those tards just wanted me out of the Nexus for once.

My landing was a bit off as usual, I managed to come to this place. It's a boreal island in the northern seas of the planet. I did manage to talk to the locals for a little while, and they said that I'd come to Qufim Island, a popular training site for officials of the Jeuno Duchy and a stomping ground for veteran mercenaries. It was weird how a desolate training camp like this was sponsored by a government, moreso because I didn't know what Jeuno was. I was shown the undersea tunnels leading back to Jeuno - the primary trade city of this world. I didn't spend too much time there, just had a quick nap and got a bite to eat, then I came back here to own face. That guy who beat me, that was an accident. Mhm.

I was quick to pick up on the folklore around here. Everyone talked about a massive structure that sat on the eastern edge of the island, reaching into the sky, and a kind of 'conduit' that lead through the ground to it that jutted out at certain points. I took a look at one, it's made of some weird slimy metal... needless to say I didn't poke it too much...

Troy ate dirt again.

Troy: Phbbht... this is getting really annoying...

He rubbed his head, glancing up to see a group of soldiers of varying sizes tearing through the crowd, dressed in white-gold armor. A man at the front, black hair shaved neatly around his head, lead the charge.

Wolfgang: Listen up, adventurers! You are to keep clear of Delkfutt's Tower! That's an order!

Deep within the confines of the superstructure different events were taking place. Over top of a bottomless pit, glowing with bright green light, five shafts of energy connected the walls. A group of people stood above the light show, wrapped in black cloaks, working at different control panels.

???: The northern line... The flow of energy has begun to reverse!

???: That's impossible!!

Troy stared out across the shores. The air had become terrifyingly quiet. In one moment, a deafening roar tore out across the sky. High above the top of the tower, a gate of light slammed shut - and in front of it, a massive humanoid wyrm hovered in the air, staring down upon the crowd below with its piercing yellow eyes. People started to run. Troy shielded his eyes from the harsh winds as he stared up.

Bahamut: Children... I Bahamut, ruler of the skies, have come to deliver you a warning! The time has come... The arrival of the Keeper of the Apocalypse is near! Come forth, my minions! Let the blood of the gods spill forth on the soil of their creation.

Troy: 'kay, now I REALLY think I'm done here.

Troy turned around, lunging away. Slits of energy slid out from two metal tubes embedded in his shell, rocketing him through the crevasses back out to the other end of Qufim, and the exit tunnel. Obviously there was going to be some traffic for once.
