Yup.

I had a feeling something wasn't right yesterday when he had the stroke... I mean, obviously when someone has a stroke at age 45, there's going to be some questions ranged especially since he was... well... large. But it's still extremely shocking. I remember watching him play many years ago on TV; he was unique, no other way to put it. (I'm sure some of you have better memories, so feel free to post.)

He will be missed.

That sucks...it is unfortunate that his career was cut short. Makes me wonder what more he would have done for his career. It is a loss for baseball.

I'm sure the glaucoma didn't help. I mean, it's not like you can see every stroke coming, but he wasn't exactly in the best of health.

I didn't get into baseball until 1995, so I missed most of his career, but just going from what I've heard and seen, he certainly was that special. Seeing people talking about how "it's probably just a Minnesota thing"... no, it isn't. We understand pulling for someone with that kind of enthusiasm and joy for the game, and every team should have a Kirby.

Whoa... I never got t saw him play because I was born in 1994. I knew there was a problem when they said about the operation. At least he got to be here when he got inducted ito the hall of fame.
