| just completed my new homepage, guys.
although i have the feeling it may be a bit misplaced here, chances are good you will like it anyway. its got everything from nice design to photography, pretty graphics, logos and pictures, snes collection pictures to hacks and patches. everything is 100% original artwork and done by me entirely. just click the image in my signature and have a look. and if you like what you see, why not say so in this thread. i'd be thankful if you could report typos or bad grammar/wording if you encounter any. after all, i'm not a native english speaker, you know. |

but out of 9 images, only 2 are 3d as in 3d rendered. the rest is entirely handdrawn. oh, and for those who are hesitating to have a look: there are catgirl pictures in the computer graphics section.  |

| If only we could have more people like d4s posting in the art forums nowadays. *sigh*
[ + ] That large logo is absolutely smashing! Superb awareness of design, slight colorations and composition. [ + ] Simple, well-organised interface [ - ] Scrolling is a minor issue Suggestions: -It would be near perfect if the scrolling wasn't in the page at all. -You could try a flash/html website where the user can choose between flash and html. Keep your old page as the html version. Make a new, brilliantly animated flash page to keep your information and images. Flash is extremely difficult (almost impossible) to hack and many professional designers use flash for building portfolios. I fucking swear, if you put the contents into a flash-based website and use it as a portfolio, you can get some VERY nice careers in the graphic arts. So far, I see a big success! |

| I don't know if this is me, if this is lololol or what, but the menu down the side seems to me like it should be aligned with the top of your news items, but isn't (it sits a fair bit down the page)... either this is intentional on your part, or the way lololol displays it, I don't know.
I like your logo, it's very good. Oh and this is in no way a critique -- but it really doesn't scale to widescreen well. To get the "feel" of it, I had to make my browser smaller |

| Well, with copying it depends what you're trying to learn/improve/achieve. Personally, I have no problem with it -- but I think it would be good if you could cite your references in those cases.
And you certainly have a definite eye for detail in coloring. |

| Reading the last four posts or some, I think we may have a slight communication error.
Step 1: I recognize the catgirl and prepare proof. I don't post it, but wait for entropy to strike. Step 2: It does. d4s explains and thinks, despite proof being available, that I don't draw and therefore may not know why he ..."copied" the catgirl in the first place. Step 3: Tarale insults me. I try hard to ignore. Step 4: Max is being a misunderstanding dickhead. I try hard to ignore him too. Step 5: d4s gets the picture, pun intended. Meanwhile I can't tell who he was speaking to in his last line, "from what i've seen, you excel at it". |
