so, you do not consider the mountains around the grapevine and magic mountain not part of southern california?

I live in a region surrounded by 4,000 ft high hills/mountains, so no snow

We got quite a bit of snow on Thursday where I live; they had to close my college early so people could go home.

I should call my grandparents and my brother though. They live in Switzerland.. I hope everything's okay with them. o.o Any idea what's going on in the Zurich area? Or the Lucern area? heheh

My Train was 20 minutes late, because of a door (f)ailure.

So I catched the one wich drove 10 minutes later.

There is still much snow here, the sun is shining, but forecast has it, that more snow is to come.

We've had loads of snow for months now, and will continiue to have so for untill at least April. If we'd shut down this town for the ammount of snow shown in those pictures, this town would be inoperative for half the year.

Of course, since I am a southerner (in Norwegian terms), and southern Norway is shut down right now because of snow, people here take every oportunity they can get to make fun of me for the southerners' inability to operate during snowy weather.

There's only one large mountain range near me, and it gets snow maybe once a year. And getting to the snow would be more driving than it's worth. However, the mountain resorts do make snow in the winter. ...But I don't go up there either.

As long as I live on this island I won't see snow. Ever.

I do remember snow days back when I lived in Philadelphia. Great days. Building snowmen and snowball fights.

Good ol' childhood memories.

Snow's overrated. It's cold and wet and has to constantly shoveled around. If you live somewhere where it doesn't snow, you're more lucky then you know.

Oh, come now. Snow is only annoying when you have to drive through it or have to shovel it. All other times, you can and should make the best of it and have some fun. Go sledding or have a snowball fight. Older people could go snowmobiling, skiing, or snowboarding.

I guess I've never really been into winter sports. That's probably because I hate the cold. I guess I picked the wrong state to grow up in.

I'm certainly used to snow from growing up in Cleveland, so going to California for school really was a bit odd...but not a bad thing, since I stopped loving snow once I started to drive...so now I just get snow when I'm home for winter vacation.

It's rather odd, actually, that it hasn't really snowed since I've been in Oxford. Apparently, it doesn't. It's not that it's been too warm, because it's been COLD enough for snow quite often, and we do certainly get precipitation. The two rarely mix, though, and when they do we're more likely to get hail. Even when it did snow for a decent amount of the day a week or so ago, it didn't stick.
