It has quite snowed in the last few days, some streets are closed (Sihltal, Pfannenstiel, Solothurn / Olten / Argau, Basel)

I'm quite lucky, all services needed for telecomunication and others are still working, only traffic problems..

In Oftringen, they had to build emergency sleeping quarters for truck drivers, because they had summer tires.

Some images here

How's the snow in your area?

We had about 2m back in the 80ies.

It's just unexpected, what we have now.

But the weather itself is good here.

We didn't have a lot of snow for a few months. Just recently the majority of it melted, then within the past week we've been completely bombed by it. The weather's not terrible, it just totally sucks ass to walk anywhere.

From where I live, snow is very rare. It only gets cold during the winter but not cold enough to where it can snow.

Eh, we really didnt get much snow this year, or the past year for that...

2003, we got a good 2 feet, and tons of snowshowers... but since then... one or two real significant small storms... and no snow showers...

I want more snow...

Well lately there has been almost no snow. But around Thanksgiving and Christmas we easily has days with 2-3 feet which was pretty sweet. Just yesterday we had like a inch but it melted away.

Sadly, Florida doesn't get snow very often. Last time it snowed here was around '89, and even then it wasn't much. I couldn't even experience the snow because I was too young to even really think on my own.

It's been snowing a lot lately, but thankfully it isn't right now. If I hadn't have gotten fired from my job, I would be out there right now, taking care of all that ice...

Considering I live in southern California, the snow is unheard of.
And that makes me sad.

I've seen it snow once where I live, a few years ago. It was like a half inch or something. Neighboring districts closed school that day because of it. >8(
People who live in the hilly areas here got snow a couple of weeks ago. That's it.

Oh well, better than living in some freezing area.

We've had a very mild winter, it hasn't snowed much, and when it has it melted pretty fast. That kinda unusual around here, normally if it does snow alot in other places in the region, we'll still a few systems off Lake Michigan.

weatherreport says, that it's going to snow some more this night.

I just hope that the trains will be running tomorrow, as I have my first exam.

And lot's of trees gave in to the snow. That's about the biggest problems we currently have.

Oh, there's still plenty of snow outside. We've had some nice days the past two weeks but also some freezing ones as well, so we're not getting rid of it yet. :\

Hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks. We just need to climb above that cursed freezing mark.

Did you get out of your house at that time?

We have like one foot right now. Maybe a little less but I think it´s much. I want it to disappear but now it´s snowing AGAIN.

Too much snow here. In the first time in my life, i'm starting to hate snow.

I just hate the slippery part of it. Try to walk in the slippery road with a pizza in your hand.
