Click me for piccy!

I recently finished watching the anime Grenadier, and fell in love with Rushuna Tendo. She's so awesome in everyway.. except the fact that she has ridiculously large breasts

Anyway, there's a story that takes place in a western setting on my message board, and the main character I use there is Hikari Nite, which in normal canon would've been my main character's future daughter. Hikari's weapon of choice the bow and arrows, but I let that slide for the purpose of drawing her dressed up as Rushuna

Problems... The most problem I had would obviously be the chest area. I don't think I've ever drawn a non-flowy shirt for a more grownup female.

Her legs kinda seem weird to me.. But there wasn't anything i could do when I realized it. I was too far to fix it, and after working on the picture almost nonstop for a day, I wasn't up for going back.

Ah well.. I atleast drew it. I'll eventually get better. As long as I just try to keep drawing ;

Oh good lord, that anime... that sparked so many balloon jokes it wasnt funny XD

Either way, the only complaints I have are that the belt looks... flat and plain, and the boots... yeah... you said that already .

Nice picture none-the-less...

Surprisingly, that's not actually the way I imagined her. But it's very, very close.

Sidenote: Yes, those are being pushed up. Just don't tell Hikari I said that ;

Gahh! The belt! I knew I wasn't paying attention to something...

And just for you, Grey, I'll show the normal version of Hikari. (It wasn't drawn by me, but I colored it)

Ah, good to have a nice mental image for Hikari...though maybe you should draw her in A Western Tale clothes so those of us in the story don't have to mentally switch outfits?

I guess I'll get to it But I'm gonna say that she's gonna be drawn in a more chibi/super deformed fashion, because it takes me about 10% of the time it takes me to draw stuff like that

I like the drawing. Only iffy part are the legs which KATW and yourself mentioned previously.

The legs kinda remind me of Mega-man's legs. I kid you not.

Aside from that. I like her outfit as well.

Nice job Kirbster.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. The shoes are kinda inaccurate.. the bottom part, atleast. I also tend to draw boot-type of shoes

Shoes are also another finicky thing I have Atleast I can deal with them better than fingers.

I hate drawing fingers.

Everytime I had to draw fingers I contemplated having the character have hooks for hands.

After doing a quick doodle.. I realized that technically, all you had to do was add a cowboy hat onto that picture of Hikari with the blue jacket.

Sky.. either you were too lazy to imagine that, or I was tricked into drawing

Oh, I could imagine that, and I did. But I would rather actually SEE it than NEED to imagine it. And in that light, thanks, I appreciate seeing it as you have included it. Looks good.

The face looks slightly off but overall the drawing is fair.

[ + ] Great coloring
[ +/- ] The clothwork was well-placed but a tad bland. No points taken, no points given.
[ + ] Linework is a bit above average
[ - ] Face looks awkwardly placed

I give it an 8/10, marginally good but can still use some improvements.

Suggestions:
-Work on the perspective of the head, especially the eyes.
-Try to add more clothwork to make your character more interesting.

v Edit: Anytime!

I agree that the hips need widening. Hips always need to be wider than the shoulders for girls (and with boys its the opposite) otherwise you wind up with boyish girls (and girlish or overweight boys)

Otherwise you've done very well. Coloring is very nice and vibrant Like the expression on the face, she looks very cheeky.

Sion.. you say that so confidently ;

Thanks for the keynote there, Tarale. I tend to remember drawing certain things by reading tips like that.. And I'm almost positive that's gonna stick in me brain. *nod nod*

It's one of those things that stuck in my brain when I was learning... I even went and bought a book on how to draw female anime characters and it's one of the first things it taught me.

That and how to draw panties. Panties on, panties off, high cut panties, panties from behind, panties from the front, panties from underneath, panties panties panties....

And another ten pages on breasts.... breasts from above, below, squashed, in a bra.....

I'll stick to giving you the much more simple, useful information... like the hip thing
