| Yeah, why is that that males are the most frequent posters on "post yrself" topics? This, I find, is true across all sorts of message boards, regardeless of the general focus -- I've even seen one where all the pics were nude (*gasp*) but still, it was a sausage factory. Really, I'm curious as to the cause of this phenomenon. I'd give it five possibilities...
1) This is the internet -- the "girls" are guys who can't blow their cover, or are cops cracking down on internet predators. 2) Guys on the internet are far bigger sluts than the girls -- and they're desperate. 3) The males are less concerned with how they look, and are thus unafraid of posting pics of themselves -- the females are more self conscious of their body image. 4) Posting your picture on the internet is a risk at any time, in any place for a female, regardeless of her age or capability to defend herself. Thers freaks in them thar hills. 5) Most message boards are ~70% male, so it makes sense for more males to post pics -- pure statistical probability. I wonder... |

| Hmm... It depends on what sort of messagebiard you frequent. I've seen VERY *blushes* let's just say 'liberal' message boards where the split on who posts pictures is about 50/50. In those situations you find it's the women who has the power really as the blokes go ga-ga over them.
and no I;'ve not posted pictures in those sorts of MBs... and no I don't post on them either
