One Star. That's all it took. It was Race 10 of the 150cc All-cup tour(Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and FYI, I was B. Mario and B. Luigi, Go figure.  ) It was the last lap in the place known for its insanity.
Baby Park. the oval-shaped nightmare was where my worst nightmare came true. my 9-race 1st Place streak was ended. By a last-finishing racer. I was lapping yoshi and mario on the last lap when I saw they had a star. I though, "Oh, Banannas." ad I held my breath. this was on the final turnn, I heard the music. I was hit. Straight on. I saw Bowser and Diddy pass me. it was all over. I finished that cup with 151 points, 14 1sts a 2nd and a 5th. the fifth came on DK Mountain, with that always nasty chain chomp. for me. I was in about fourth and I used it on that bridge and it tossed me over the edge. So, what's yours? |

My most disappointing moment in MK was just recently. Last Saturday, I was playing MK: DD with some friends and I made the mistake of putting items on frantic. As a result, blue shells where very common and I was almost always first when the blue shell was thrown. In one of the races, I got hit by two blue shells at the same time on the beginning of the final lap in Bowser's Castle. After landing from the explosion, I didn't realize I was going backwards until Lakitu appeared with the U-Turn sign. I got second which ended my first place streak.  |

| Hmm, in all my races I either get owned like a bitch or I massively dominate everyone. So my only letdown moment got me second in one race, but I won the other three, so...
Anyway, this was versus YD and someone else on IRC. I was kicking twelve kinds of ass but then the person whose name I don't remember hit me with two blue shells in a row, and YD passed me with the help of a triple mushroom. Apparently whatwazit got a third blue shell right after that, but YD had already crossed the finish line. |

One time, on the fourth race in a MKDS Wi-Fi match, the second place person rams be with invincibility, the third place person (my brother, no less) spites me with a green shell, and, just as I'm about to cross the finish line, the fourth place person flies in as a Bullet Bill and hits me out of the way.  Jerks. |

I was about to kick 3 peoples' ass in MKDS (like an inch from the finish line and miles ahead) and one of the bastards disconnected. And for some reason the entire game stops despite there still being 2 other people.  |

Well, since MKDD has been popping up in this thread a lot, I have one in that game. My most disappointing moment is when a Spiny Shell nailed me right over that pit jump at the bottom of Wario Colloseum (however it's spelt), it hit me at the PEAK of the jump, knocked me straight up into the air and I slowly fell back down into the pit. Then I think either I restarted before the pit or after... But, I can definitely tell you, I didn't win that race... But hmmm... I guess what was disappointing with MKDD in general. The music for me, it just didn't have the good notes that the earlier ones did and the fact that they reused 6 themes.  That got old for me. |

| When I played Mario Kart for the SNES I pressed a bunch of buttons like crazy and then that thing to make your character smaller while selecting character happened. I wanted it to happen again, but pressing buttons like crazy didn't work anymore, so I put the controller under the sofa and started to jump on it. One of the small wheels on the sofa broke and the thing still wouldn't happen.
Umm.. yeah that's my most dissapointing Mario Kart moment... |

| Haha, that happened to me once. I had no idea WTF happened, I thought the game had gone completely insane. I found out eventually though.
And speaking of SMK... A few times I'd take a wide turn past the left edge of the finish line on Koopa Beach 1, and I'd be too far to the left and it wouldn't count the lap! Little design flaw there.

| My favourite music in MKDD was Frappe Snowland, Mushroom Bridge (hell yes) and Rainbow Road.
On-topic: My most disappointing moment? Try losing the All-Cup Tour in Mirror Mode by 1 point in DD. It happened to me And I thought I was the master of Rainbow Road. |
