Hey. I'm Zoku but, you can call me D if you want. I'm heavily into video gaming and have been for 26 years. When I'm not playing them, I'm collecting them or talking about them. As a kid I was one of those vg addicts who hung out in the arcades even if I didn't have any quarters. I've been into emulation for nearly 3 years and discovered romhacking about 2 years ago. Although I haven't completed any hacks myself, I find romhacking extremely fascinating and am interested in learning more about how to get good at it. So far I'm just playing around with editors because I don't have the patience to learn DOS but, if learning that is what it takes for me to alter any game I want then, I guess that's what I'll have to do. I'm particularly interested in hacking NES and TG16 games. Anyway... It's good to be here. Thanks for having me.

You should fit in right here and I'm sure people will be able to help you out with romhacking, don't know much about it though

Hope you enjoy yourself here, D

Maybe 35 or 36 years old is "old" here on the board, not with my family. My grandparents still play video games in their late 70s.

Welcome to the board Zoku, enjoy your stay and make some great hacks.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. Yep... Just turned 34 a little over a week ago. It's not as bad as I expected though. I still feel pretty young and I'm also one of those types who looks and thinks younger than normal anyway so it's all good.

I like what acillatem98 said about having grandparents in their 70s who play video games. I remember reading letters from elderly people in Nintendo Power about how many games they had and had played through and how much fun they were having. I like to see that kind of open mindedness toward modern electronics from older people. I only hope that I have that same attitude when I become an old timer.

I guess not. I always considered 30-50 middle aged. I sure I'll probably stop when I'm over 30.

Stop playing video games? I don't think I could ever stop playing them, noone could pay me enough to stop. I will enjoy my life the way I want to. I will game on until I die. I always thought middle aged was like 50 or so, maybe thats just me though.
