| EDIT-Sorry, I thought I was in the hardware forum, that's where this is supposed to be.
Hey, I'm having issues with my wireless and was hoping someone here could help me. I have a Netgear WG311v2 wireless PCIe card and a Linksys WRT54G router. Basically, the problem I have is that my card will recognize the signal and tell me it's recieving it at 100% but will not be able to get a connection. The router is about 5 feet from my computer and the antenaes on the router and my computer are pointed at one another. I can't plug in a cable to my computer cause the connection got broken during shipping for the onboard LAN. Can other wireless broadcasters create enough interference to dissable a connection? Any advice on how to potentially fix this would be great. (edited by Young Guru on 02-26-06 02:52 PM) |

| Has it always done this or did it just start? If it just started I would suggest uninstalling all your wireless drivers and whatever software that came with it and reinstalling from scratch. | |||

| It had just started about 4 days ago and had only been able to hold a connection for like fifteen minutes at a time. But for some reason, it's started to work again, so I guess there's no longer a problem (damn, i just jinxed myself). |
