I made shiny new sprites, palletes and mappings for mario, yet when on the overworld, some of these colors are for some reason overwritten, thus making one of my character's shades yellow.
How can I avoid this? |

That's because indexes 1-5 of Mario's palette are overwritten in the Overworld to make the Yellow Yoshi appear yellow. All you need to do is edit those colors in the Overworld editor. | |||
