Bored one day, William decided to set up a fight for anyone up for a challenge. There was no reason other than boredom...

The arena was a simple stone arena with Greek style pillars on the four corners of the rectangular arena, which was about fifty yards, half a football field. There were stands for bystanders to watch as well. The sky was bright blue and the day was not real breezy. The perfect conditions.

There were no rules, really. He wanted to fight. The smaller arena would make for some nice fighting action which is what he wanted.

William: "Now... umm... I guess I need to wait for a contender..."

Grey: "You know, William... You and I never did finish that fight."

There was an eerie change of camera angles as Grey appeared out of nowhere next to William. He stepped around in a circle, looking William over. The kid was always changing, he thought...

"And since nobody seems to want to play tag, I'm sort of bored again, too. Let's have a go at things."

Grey pulled out his yoyo, and his vest jingled as the mass of the stuff he kept in there shifted around. He began playing with it, up and down, up and down, then to the side, and then upwards. He slept it, and made a pendulum, and then began walking the dog...

William: "Well, if it isn't Grey. This ought to be a nice battle then."

William stood there as Grey took his position and began to play with his yoyo. Once he began to walk the dog, William began to lose interest... well, in the yoyo...

William: "Let's start off then, shall we?"

To start things off, William grasped his sword in both hands and began running forward on the hard ground. Once he reached to where Grey was with the yoyo, William lowered his sword down and swung it up in a diagonal slash from the left to the right. A standard first move, but William didn't like to start things with a strong attack. It just wasn't as fun for him.

Grey: "What."

Grey watched William slash the air where he had once been. He scratched the back of his head dumbfoundedly, wondering just why that had happened.

"What."

No witty banter? No rules? No boasting? Just a direct attack?

"What........."

Grey read William's move and sidestepped to the right a few feet. It wasn't that hard to do, just... Kinda surprising that the fight had begun already. Grey frowned and held out his palm. There was a short energy bulge...

"No."

"..."

William knew the attack was going to miss. It usually did. That wasn't his problem though. The problem was he thought Grey was expecting more.

William stood up straight and stepped back to where he once was.

"Ok, fine. You want rules? That's it? No leaving this square area. No going in the stands in other words. Otherwise, this is just a standard fight. No real reason behind it either. Wait... well, the reason is that I've been very competitive lately, so... yeah..."

With that, he stood there and awaited some sort of gesture for the fight to commence...

Grey: "Sure. PK Rockin' Beta!!!"

With that, a very large blast of dazzling green energy exploded from Grey's hand at point-blank range. It began with a series of spiraling spears of light, followed by a duo of converging red blasts of psychic energy, ending with a massive explosion where the blasts met. At point blank range, this blew Grey about 20 feet back, but he considered the collateral damage worth the effort.

"I can deal with this. Let's make it a little more interesting: A ring-out is the only way to win. Go for it!"

William flew backwards seven yards, which still gave him quite a long way from the edges of the arena. Taking in some damage from the explosion and the sliding on the ground, he stood up, scratches all over him, although none of them were threatening.

"Ring out, eh? Soul Calibur style! I like it!"

Before doing his move, William flung his hands in the air. Magic encircled the arena. Now, due to the certain circumstances, the compeititors would not recieve as much damage, but the longer the battle the more force each attack would have.
The only problem was that the opponent had to confirm this change by pressing "Yes" on a newly spawned console behind him...
Where it came from was anyone's guess... same as to why he had to use magic...

William spun in a circle as he drew out his boomerang gun. He had it aimed after the spin and held the trigger as energy was being absorbed into the gun. After a second, he let the gun fire. A huge ball of energy shot out in an arc. It traveled towards Grey, but was a foot short. It didn't matter, as on impact it exploded with immense force. Its explosion was a blue, about the same force as the Spiked Shell in Mario Kart: Double Dash.

(OOC: I never saw your move this weekend because I just got Soul Calibur III... and then you bring up the Ring Out... Funny.)

Grey: "Grr!"

Grey threw his arms in front of him in an X shape as a psychic shield glowed pink in front of him and absorbed some of the shock of the explosion. He was taken off his feet and shoved straight to the ground as the explosion blew dust and concrete over him.

That couldn't happen again, he thought. If the attacks kept up like this, Grey would be hard-pressed to stay in the arena.

He jammed down the "Yes" button on the small podium that had appeared by where he was standing when he staggered to his feet, and grinned.

"All right then. Just be forewarned, I'm not gonna let you cast a spell like that again!"

Before he finished his sentence, Grey spun around a few times, teleporting closer to William and closing into melee range. He whipped out his yo-yo and threw it out at William in an attempt to ensare him!

William jumped backwards hoping to dodge the yo-yo. This didn't happen, though. His arms were tangled in the toy's string. Obviously, he was very restricted with what he could do.

What else to do than jump back, use the pull on the yo-you to gain momentum, and project your feet in front of you in an effort to either hurt or trip the enemy?

That is what William did... unfortunately...

(OOC: Sorry. DDR and MMX Collection distracted me... )
