As I assume I can't double post (since it won't let me and I figure it would be stupid), I'll just make this lovely exclusive thread to show screenshots of my Zelda project.

Here are some screenshots of what I have done so far (Level 1: Nyrie Castle). This area will probably be the only "revamped" area in the game, while the rest will be plain new (or so I hope).

Main Screen turn on.
Nyrie Castle lobby.
King's Chamber.
West Wing with mandatory treasure.
A not-so perplexing area in the basement.

I don't like how the small keys are changed to blue because of the palette change.
And the use of the throne seems akward, because the way you use it it's not for a secret passage, really.

Oh, and you could hav edited your other post.

Not bad, not bad. Looks pretty nice so far. When you say "Mandatory Treasure" I'm gonna assume you mean it has a key or something important in it?

Well, good luck to you. Post more screenshots when you get them.

It looks fine so far. I'd have to agree when it comes to the small keys being blue. I can't hardly see them. =/ Other than that, it looks like it's coming along well. Good work.

The screen shots are good and I have no problem with the palate for the small keys changed to blue.

Blue= Favourite colour!

The mandatory treasure is really the Lamp (I'm a genius I know, instead of putting it in Link's house I put it in the first dungeon OOOOOO~!).

The pallete change for the key was actually a mistake and I haven't finished the entire pallette, but I dunno, I might leave it. The interface will be blue, as well as Link's first suit color.

The first dungeon is the castle (duh)... the world in this game is called Nyrie, but the beginning is pretty similar to Zelda 3. The first floor of the castle is almost the same, although it's a little more difficult as you can't go around the entire thing. You can't go left as there's a wall in the way, you have to go right and go all the way around. The basement is a little more complex and has more rooms, and the enemies are a lot harder than in the beginning of Zelda 3, but nothing too challenging.

The next dungeon will be the Blast Cavern, a cave level in which you have to find bombs and make your way through the dungeon.

I like everything youve done...it all fits correctly which is something that can make a hack look shit if it isn't done right.

I dont necerserily agree with the throne room positioning. as Coby said it looks somewhat "awkward". A way to fix it could be to have the staircase behind it going up rather than dropping down.

The King's Chamber has a kind of original layout. The room is flat, except for the middle which is a large wall that goes horizontally through the middle of the room. On top of the wall you can find the two chairs and the ornamental shelf, and behind the shelf is the not-so-secret passage. Of course, you can't get behind the shelf until you rescue Zelda (the intro is still similar to Zelda 3, going to save the princess from the castle). Again, the world is different though. It would be a lot of help if I could have some other helpers...

It takes a lot of dedication and effort to do the a complete overhaul hack by yourself (trust me, i've tried it)

Blast cavern did i read? did you know bombs drops anywhere after the rescue zelda sequence?

What exactly do you want by help? doing levels? I don't mind giving people a hand on the little things, but as for like doing levels, no thanks i think i've had enough.

The Blast Cavern is a rocky cavern (the first pendant dungeon) with a lot of blastable walls and bomb traps.

Help includes ideas, mapping, technical help (debugging or laying out a specific order of maps), and graphics if at all possible. I don't know anything as of yet about ASM hacking either, so help in that would be good too.

One suggestion I have, and it may or may not be feesable, but it would to make the treasure of the dungeon inside a big chest. Now I realise the lamp isn't big chested, but if you can do it either in HM or a hex editor, it would certainly make it just a little bit better looking.

As much as I like the suggestion from you, no. I don't believe the Lamp should be a big almighty treasure of glory. Plus... it's more like a practice dungeon, nothing too important. Thank you for the suggestion though.
