(Music Theme: Dynamo Theme "MegaMan X5")

"Take this!" Dynamo activated his double edge saber and threw it, the weapon acting like a boomerang flying towards ForteZero. The White Shadow activated Storm Tornado and launched a wind shot at the mercenary, which knocked him off his feet face first into the ground, and deflected the weapon at him, striking him in the face when he got up. The battle began only ten minutes ago, and already Dynamo was on the losing end.

"Storm Tornado!" ForteZero launched a few more wind shots at the mercenary, slowly bringing his health down.

Tag Assist - David > ForteZero

Time froze as David teleported down. "Got this one!" ForteZero teleported away as time unfroze.

"Can't touch me human!"

"Shut up you annoying bastard! Hieiryuha!" David jumped into the air and dashes forward with his D. Saber extended, but then before landing, he spins around with it still extended outward, just as pitch black after-images of himself flies from four different directions. Dynamo evaded the first attack, but was caught off guard from the flying black after-images. Of course he quickly countered with a slash at David's midsection before jumping away. Dynamo now executed his Giga Attack.

"Neutron Thunder!" Dynamo's fist was set ablaze in an electrical aura before he punched the ground, and a wave of laser lightning shot towards the ground, but the three swift wave of attacks were completely blocked by David's Big Guard, though minimal damage was dealt from the cut off original damage.

Dynamo swung his double sided saber at David again, only the human armored Maverick Hunter dodged it and went in for the finishing blow, as he brought his arms to his sides, and caught Dynamo in a barrier of data. Time froze as the entire surroundings turned pitch black.

Double Attack: Command Armor David / ForteZero

Numbers and random generated computer data scrolled fast along the background, as ForteZero teleported down. The empty platform they stood on was blazing at the edges like Forte's Dark Aura when it surges with power. The camera view circled around once, before the two Hunters attacked.

While ForteZero slashed once, twice, then a third time spinning around before slashing in an X pattern, David gainned another pistol and unleashed a constant stream of energy bullets into Dynamo, who's frozen body was shaking and coursing with electricity. The two hunters did their victory pose before they brought their arms to their sides again. A bright flash of light erupts from them and time unfroze as Dynamo flashed a few times before explosions rang out from his body, the music suddenly ending.

The continuing explosions rang throughout the Sim Battle Arena before a loud explosive boom ended the explosions. Dynamo wasn't deleted, but his armor was sevearly damaged, half his visor broken.

Dynamo only cursed at the hunters before he teleported away in an electrical stream of data pixels. Something that looked like an upside down triangle glowing brightly appeared and slowly fell on David, which vanished in a ping.

MISSION COMPLETE!

ForteZero put his sabers away as David placed his single Magnum Revolver in the holster. "That wasn't hard!" The others ran up to them, going through the whole congrats thing with beating Dynamo yet again, then they just left after ForteZero used a Repair Battlechip to fix up all damages dealt to the small area from their scars of battle. This battle was different though...

* * *

David stands still, his saber held in his hand. It changes to a dark red color as he brings it back, then throws it forward, and the image freezes.
> Rakutenchi - David's saber changes to a dark red color. The weapon once thrown acts like a deady boomerang, flying towards the closest foe before it travels towards the thrower. It can only travel a great distance before returning.

ForteZero flies through the air, then does a large swipe along the ground before he quickly turns around and lands a short distance away from the opponent. Image freezes.
> Assassin Slash - ForteZero performs this by doing an air-dash, then swipes a long curved slash at the ground before air-kicking himself away from the enemy a short distance.

With a transformed Magnum Revolver, David launches electrical shots out that travel a short distance, before they explode and lightning arcs out in four different directions. The image freezes.
> White Lightning - David's Magnum Revolver takes form of a Blue Eyes White Dragon head enhanced with armor. It launches balls of electricity that after going a short distance, explode and sends out four white beams of lightning in an arc fasion.

David and ForteZero perform their victory pose, as the words "Weapon Obtained!" flashes on the screen in front of them.

WEAPON OBTAINED!

Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz...

Asleep in the chair inside the Cafeteria, William was layed back, bored out of his mind that nothing was really going on...

He heard a noise which woke him up. Looking around and noticing nothing, he walked around.

In front of Grey's office, he noticed a new suggestions box there. He looked at it and thought to himself. Grabbing a piece of paper and using his own pen, he began to write down stuff on the paper.

He then decided to grab another seat and try to actually think of ideas... he couldn't figure it out though...

However, for advertising, he thought about userbars, but those were starting to get old... and they were crusting on his jacket...
-----------
Later on, he went around the corridors of the archive, the old board before he was even close to joining up. The time when the admins even battled, ones that still tend to the board issues to this day.

He wondered why they stopped fighting for fun... while their posts were sometimes even one sentence long.
He got deep in thought... and hopefully realized what needs to be done.

William wrote on the slip of paper his final draft of his idea. He glanced over it one more time to verify what it said, and grinned as it slipped into the box. The writing on the paper was simple, but that was his intention.

Complexity is good, but simple is fun.

The meaning was vague, since William was about to fall asleep again...

He'd remember what it meant when he woke up...

Kalar: "Ha! Shadowfang!!!"

Kalar exploded into a wave of shadowy bolts as he bore down on Garro, who threw his coat around him and deflected the bolts away with a wave of holy power. Garro backpedaled a few feet, and was almost instantly cornered by Kalar, who slid out of the darkness of the unlit Sim Battle Arena B and grabbed Garro with a steel fist. Kalar then proceeded to throw him roughly down onto the cement flooring. He pounced on Garro, and pressed his scythe's blade against Garro's throat...

"Heh, too slow, man... You need to learn to fight better. He's coming back soon, that's what you said, and it's gonna be big. We'll show him just how much stronger we've gotten."

Garro: "G-get off me..."

Garro grabbed Kalar and disappeared in a puff of white feathers, switching their positions and pointing a pistol at Kalar's forehead. The two of them grappled on the ground for a few seconds, and suddenly, Kalar shouted out.

Kalar: "Wait, wait! Wait!"

Garro pulled his pistol away, and looked perplexedly at Kalar, who had a rather strange look on his face, almost as if he were trying to throw up, but couldn't get anything out of it. Garro got off of him, and stood up.

Garro: "What's wrong?"

Kalar: "I just tried to go all shadowy now, and it didn't work."

Garro pondered for a moment as Kalar got up, and noticed that the near-transparent blade on his scythe had disappeared entirely, with the Multiweapon becoming nothing more than just another metal rod in Kalar's hands. Kalar's right side suddenly toppled to the ground underneath the weight of his metal limbs.

"Gah! That's it!"

He dragged himself forward and towards the arena exit as Garro unsuccessfully tried to cast a spell to lighten his load a bit. They had lost their powers?

Garro: "It must be another one of Grey's experiments..."

Kalar: "No! It's that goddamn game of tag he's playing! I remember him saying something to me a few hours prior to assembling everyone on the roof."

Garro: "Tag? Why tag?"

Kalar: "Something about a short film he once saw... said it inspired him. He wanted to try some kind of "Ordinary people doing extraordinary things" bullshit... Now look at us!"

Kalar continued to drag his overencumbered body out of the arena, and Garro rushed forward to try to help him, only to realize that the sheer weight of all the kevlar he was wearing was starting to get him down. Even his pistols seemed heavier all of a sudden...

Garro: "Well, come on... we've got to get to him..."

The two of them carefully and slowly made their way out to the streets, where Grey was no doubt scheming up a storm for his little "Tag" experiment.

----------------

Meanwhile, in a small cafe just south of the Acmlm's Board building, a hulking, muscular man in a fine leather suit that somehow had accessories to cover his entire body sipped a disproportionately small (to the size of his hands, that is) cup of espresso, sitting on a chair that barely held him before a table that looked rather intimidated by him, waiting for his blind date to show up. That is to say, his date, who was blind. He knew, of course, that she would be able to make his way to him, especially while he carried one of the green shards that was concealed inside of his suit. She was, after all, a mistress of the soul. Suddenly, he noticed that he had stopped sensing the shard's power from within his clothing.

Evan: "Hm? What's this..."

He placed his espresso on the table before him, and withdrew the shard from his pocket. Yes, one shard. Most definitely there. It seemed as though he had lost his ability to sense them temporarily. Probably the work of some outstanding supervillain who wanted nothing more than to conquer the city. It'd only be a matter of time before someone stopped him or destroyed the device that he was using to do it, so Evan simply placed the shard back in his pocket, and continued waiting.

Until, that is, he realized that his date's ability to actually find him was based entirely upon a power that most people didn't have. This troubled him, and so he got up, paid his bill, and calmly walked out into the city streets to search for her.

Star held his sword into the air and called on the power of lightning.... but nothing came?

Star: "Uh..."

Star tried again to summon a stronger, bigger, more devastating lightning, he didn't even get a shock of static.

Star: "Well... I guess as long as I have my sword and skills I'll be fine... That... was weird though... I better find out what's going on."

Shen was hit harder than anyone on the planet. Her eyes hadn't seen light in years. She could feel people's power changing and then all of a sudden she couldn't feel anything through that sense. She was leaning on the side of a building, trying to get used to seeing light again, but all it was doing was giving her a massive head ache.

Shen: "I have to stay calm."

Shen closed her eyes and started to calm herself. She found her balance again and when she opened her eyes, a very strange world awaited her. Her powers came from her soul, but the ability to use them were beyond normal humans; however, she could half use them still. She was seeing the world in half reality and half souls. She couldn't tell which direction was which and she couldn't even begin to walk, in her mind she was on the highest point of the earth with the lowest points all around her.

Evan: "Shen! Shennnn!!!!"

Evan called out over the crowd of people, who were obviously unaffected by the sudden blast of realism that had overcome the city. She was so much smaller than him, and so much smaller than the crowd... Finding her, especially without her soul sight to track him, would be nearly impossible...

------------------

Kalar: "Guhh... This is... so needlessly heavy... CO2 Tanks and galvanized titanium? Who the hell... was stupid enough... to design an arm like this..."

Kalar dragged his arm and leg through the city as crowds of people stopped and gawked at what appeared, for all respects and purposes, to be a cybernetic hobo leaning on a very un-sticklike walking stick. Several people had already stopped and asked him if he needed help, but he had fervently declined, ever since he and Garro had decided to split up. They were slow, but they'd cover more ground that way. Besides, as time passed, Kalar noticed he was getting more and more used to the weight that was on his entire right side.

A voice: "-ell, destroy it, if you have to!"

Kalar stopped, and strained to pick himself up. That was most definitely Grey's voice. He looked past a sea of heads to where the man might be, but only saw the top of his crown before, after a short count of ten, the young man sprinted off at a fairly realistic speed, throwing out a yo-yo and using it to swing to the top of a low-roofed building.

Kalar: "Fuck."

A rather large man stepped in front of Kalar. He just looked like a body builder to Kalar right now, but there was so much Kalar couldn't see. The hundreds of little red strands coming from his back to form wings. His mystical cloth bandages that always waved in the wind behind him even when their was no wind and the spears on his back that could bring anything to their knees.

Origin: "Do you want to take my help? I can rid you of that arm and leg temporarily so you can move."

Shen kept her hand against a building as she moved. Her vision was completely distorted, seeing half reality and half through the soul gave very messed up signals. Her hand left the wall and she stumbled to turn a cornor into an alley way. She though she could see a soul, but it was to dark and was just a shadow to her eyes. She took several steps into the alley way and then found her arm twisted behind her and something held to her head.

Mugger: "Gimme all your money and you won't die."

Shen felt part of her panic, she felt some fear, and that almost inspired fear throughout her entire mind.

Shen *thought*: "Have I really lost my balance? How could this have happened? Who would be this sick minded?"

Mugger: "I said! Gimme all your money!"

The mugger pushed her into the wall and spun her around. He held the gun right against her forehead. Shen was brought back to reality and looked up at him. Her hand opened for a second and the mugger saw the chaos emerald.

Mugger: "You have an emerald on you!?"

The mugger snatched the chaos emerald away and held it in his hand triumphantly. The chaos emerald glowed as the mugger touched it.

Mugger: "Look how big this thing is! It has to be worth something!"

The mugger looked back down at Shen and began to threaten her again, when he froze. He started convulsing wildly and he fell backwards as his veins popped out of his body. He went into a heart attack and died after a few seconds. Shen grabbed the chaos emerald and struggled to stand up. She slowly walked out of the alley way and tried to look for Evan.

Star: "Damnit Grey, you bastard!"

Star was in the middle of arena H, the under ground practice arena. He knew it was Grey instictively, but what really worried him, was that Dracoon wouldn't be effected. Dracoon wanted to beat Star, to settle their rivalry, and Star knew he'd attack soon.

So your a bounty hunter/mercenary?
Good.

Are you a NetNavi instead of human?
Yeah.

But does everyone hate you?
Hell yeah!

These are certian thoughts running through a certian white haired mercenary.

Dynamo sighed as he found a nearby bench and just sits down. Sighing again, he looks up into the sky. He's been given an assignment of assassinating David Lee Abbott, his girlfriend who is now his wife, and their NetNavis, but he's failed that job miseribly years ago. He's a free lance mercenary who does jobs for money, like any mercenary would do in their life, human, alien, or made of data... all mercenaries are like that. Some more greedy than others, some doing it only because he or she does it for the sake of something or someone important to them.

"God, why does everyone hate me!? I mean, so yeah I do certian things that would be considered a crime...." he began thinking back to the things he's done in the past.

1) Tried to end a human life for a Net Crime organization.
2) Tried to delete high rank mercenaries like ShadowMan only to get his ass kicked.
3) Girls he flirt with hurt him bad (those with boyfriends hurt him).
4) Slur kicks his ass numourous times whenever he tried to cope a feel.
5) Marino is the same reason... though she is very beautiful.
6) Cause he has a grudge against the Maverick Hunters.

... and the list goes on, and on, and on...

"God... even once none of my plans of getting rid of Spider and ShadowMan by forcing them to fight each other didn't work..." Dynamo just sat there, bored and depressed out of his mind. Though it all changed when a pretty girl walks past his line of vision. In the next few seconds, there's a hole in the wall behind the bench that avoided destruction, the hole shaped like Dynamo. The girl walks off weild a large Hammer.

Kalar: "I'll be fine. But, Thanks... I'm feeling a bit better now."

He was walking, not limping, at this point. The staff on his back began to glow with the faint light of what seemed like a blade attempting to push itself out of the end.

He passed another large figure, a fine leather suit adorning him...

Evan: "Shen? Shen...?"

Evan was surprised at how difficult it was to find Shen in this crowd. Though she was so small, his size should have compensated greatly. Normally people had a tendency to stand a few feet away from him out of sheer intimidation. So much for that. Suddenly, a tiny alarm went off in the back of his head...

"!?"

An emerald shard? But it was very faint... Like he was several hundred miles away from it. But he couldn't be that far off... It was his own, in his pocket. He took it out. The feeling got a little stronger as he held it in his hand. Was his ability actually returning? He concentrated, after returning the shard to his pocket. Closing his eyes, he meditated as the crowds bustled around him.

East. His instincts told him.

He could feel it, very faintly. Evan turned to his left, and nearly took off in a run that would have trampled Kalar, had he not been more attentive. Evan looked down at the crippled man, and noticed the older fellow that was addressing him. Origin! He was here too...

"I don't seem to be the only one affected here..."

He bent down to the slightly hunched-over Kalar.

"I seem to recall you being a bit taller. Here, I'll help you."

Kalar: "No that's---!"

Without listening to Kalar's protests, Evan picked Kalar up with relative ease and slung him over his shoulders so that Kalar was now sitting on his back, flesh and mechanical leg draped over Evan's shoulders. Considering Evan's size, Kalar looked more like a small child on Evan's back. And he had to admit, it was a good bit more comfortable than walking.

"....ok."

Evan laughed. Kalar was about the size of Shen, now that he thought about it. 'I should try this with her sometime,' Evan thought, 'She might enjoy being taller than everyone else for once'.

------------------

Voice: "Haha, it's working!"

Garro knew that voice. He knew it very well, and it struck fear into his heart as he dragged his excessively heavy self forward.

Garro: "Oh, heavens, grant me the power to go on with this existence..."

Garro's lilting tone served only to have the lords of some random faith finally take pity upon him. He couldn't help but notice his coat felt a little lighter. He stopped cold for a moment and blinked.

He blinked again and moved his arm.

"What the hell."

Origin: "Evan, you'll need to be careful around her for a few minutes. Her spiritual balance wasn't disrupted from Grey, it was because of the emerald. All Grey did was weaken her, her soul is still in complete contact with the emerald."

Origin took a few steps away and seemed to fade, no one in the crowd, at all, never seemed to notice his existance in the first place.

Elysia dived off of her perch towards the city below and a centain falling individual, ready to save her if she was about to die.

Shen looked out over the sea of people that was in this city and everyone was distorted. She couldn't tell where one person began and the other ended. She sank down along the wall of a building, trying to see something, but no matter where she looked, everyone looked like the same mass of confusion. Were their souls really this miserable and weak?

Shen: "See no evil..."

Shen closed her eyes and shut out the world. Patience.

Star looked around, any second Dracoon would show up, he knew that to be an absolute. Star felt his sword become a little lighter and his hearing picked up a little more. Super human hearing wasn't needed to catch this sound though, the arena was being ripped apart by something. Star spun around and put his sword up as a blast of energy tore a wall of the arena up.

Dracoon: "Power Shot!"

Star could feel his blood electrify and pushed back as hard as he could. The blast was split down the middle and Star was ok.

Star: "Cheap shot..."

Dracoon: "No, Power Shot. I can show you a cheap shot though."

Dracoon moved forward at his usual speed, but to Star it seemed much faster. Dracoon took out a beam sword and slashed at Star, who managed to parry it, and they started to exchange swings, Star being able to just keep up. If Dracoon brought out his other sword though, Star wouldn't have a chance.

Evan: "Yes, Origin... But where IS she, is my question. We had a date, you know. Well, sort of. I suppose meeting in a coffeehouse in the middle of a city would constitute a date, but really it was to discuss the--"

Kalar: "Would you get on with it or put me down???"

Kalar whapped Evan in the back of the head, and Evan simply sighed. Patience. He volunteered himself. Evan grabbed Kalar by the scruff of his neck, holding the blonde warrior out at arm's length (a reasonably far distance for Kalar). Kalar struggled, writhed, and even clamped onto Evan's arm and started biting exasperatedly before finally deciding to just hang there when it was clearly evident that nothing would do. He still couldn't see Evan's face, as it was.

Evan: "Careful, my cybernetic friend. If I drop you from even this height, you know it will hurt. I suggest you sit quietly and don't do that again if you want to spend the next few minutes in peace."

Kalar went silent and Evan happily replaced him onto his vantage point. A few disgruntled seconds later, and Kalar found himself pointing out to the crowd.

Kalar: "Wait, look! It's Garro! And..."

Kalar's eyes widened as he gripped Evan's shoulders.

"...He's tailing Grey! Go! FORWARD! MUSH! THAT'S THE GUY!"

Evan: "Hm?"

Kalar: "That's him! That's the guy who took our powers!"

Evan peeked over the crowd again. The man in the duster with the trenchcoat? Well, he thought, ok...

Evan: "Oh, well, ok..."

Evan held onto Kalar and took off in a completely unencumbered sprint. He was quickly overtaking Garro, who was still moving reasonably slowly for the mass that covered his body.

-------------

Garro drew out one of his pistols. It didn't feel so heavy, anymore...

Shen kept her eyes closed, trying to regain herself, but something invaded her mind. It was a nightmare of sorts. It showed many horrible things, the city being destroyed, everyone suffering, the deaths of countless people, so many horrible things, that not even Shen's natural calm was broken easily. She screamed a scream that was cut off instantly by a hand. She opened her eyes to see herself back in the alley with a hand of pure black flames covering her mouth. She tried to struggle, but it was as if a god was keeping her from moving.

Dracoon: "Star, even you are vulnerable. With all your experiences and all your power, even one of the greatest humans is vulnerable."

Star struggled to stand. Dracoon hadn't been trying to kill him, but wear him down. He'd done it with ease too, by swinging ruthlessly against Dracoon, he had weakened him.

Dracoon: "Now Star, you shall die today."

Star looked up at Dracoon and his eyes flared to life. There was an ear splitting crash as the sky above the arena was filled with clouds. Lightning jointly struck Star, going through the ground to reach him. Dracoon activated his other beam sword, and it started all over again. Star wasn't being fought against though, he was just being fought. They were almost equal, it is as if Star forced his old power to surface.

Kalar: "Come on, we're almost there! Grey's in the park!"

Evan: "Grey? O....kay...?"

So much for that notion, he thought. He spotted ahead of him a smallish young man throwing a remote control at the ground. It shattered, and suddenly he felt a burst of strength overcome him, and he sprinted forward.

Kalar felt his leg get a whole lot lighter, and was unable to keep his grip on Evan as Evan ran forward. Instead, he fell to the ground, nearly tripping over himself before firing his leg out like a piston, sending him flying through the air.

The moment Garro realized he could lift his coat again, he whipped out both pistols, kissed them and watched them glow with holy light, and took careful aim.

Kalar: "Get him!!!!"

What followed was pure chaos.

Garro fired a blast of light at Grey, throwing him off just before he was about to blow the minds of everyone in a fifty foot radius.

Garro: "Holy Explosion!!!"

Evan followed up the attack by tackling Grey, feeling his fist burst into flames as he ground it along the pavement, an energy borne from sheer friction. He bashed Grey towards the ground the moment the two of them went aerial, and landed gracefully behind him.

Evan: "Grand Viper!!!"

Kalar, taking the moment to his advantage, summoned from within his shadowy depths the power to bind his foe into submission, commanding the shadows of the sunshine to wrap Grey up.

Kalar: "Shadowbind!!!"

Grey struggled against his bonds, and when he opened his eyes, saw three very angry, very intimidating looking men standing over him. Evan cracked his knuckles. Garro brandished his pistols. Kalar brought his scythe ever closer to Grey's throat, and said only this...

"Yo, check this motherfucker out..."

Game over? Not quite...

Dracoon: "Enough is enough! Omega Shot!"

There was hardly a second charge time as the huge orange-ish blast of energy exploded from Dracoon's buster cannon. Star felt his energy spike and for a split second was immobilzed, he was taken in the blast, held somewhere in the center of it as it ran its course. Star started to think that if this attack was more focused, it'd be a lot more deadly.

Origin: "Good, they have their powers back, that's a load off myself."

Elysia: "Yeah, but now they're putting countless people in danger."

Origin: "I'm bending the rules again. Everyone here is temporarily immortal, even if they don't realize it."

Elysia: "Is that why you haven't stopped Dark~"

Origin: "Yes."

Shen felt her energy spike, but the emerald already had a hold over her and she couldn't find her balance, as such, she was a victim to the burning hand that dragged her through the city.

Forte is just minding his own busniess, then he hears Teddylot scream Clown loudly. The clown passes by running fast... for a fat guy, and the small teddy runs after the clown like a rabid cupcake.Following after is a small gust of wind, that slightly blows his cloak in his face.

"... Never knew Teddylot was as fast as The Rabid Cupcake, BurnerMan." He shrugs to himself before he ignores the screams that soon fade away in the opposite direction.

Kalar and Garro trudge into Grey's office as he continues his sadistic game of tag outside... Evan mentioned something along the lines of going to look for his date and continue it, now that everyone had their powers back. His suit had been scorched, and it was most definitely certain that he didn't quite look like he was ready for an afternoon date, but considering most of his face and all of his body was still concealed, whomever it was that he was meeting probably wouldn't care either way...

As for the other two, having been soundly thumped by Grey's psychic explosion, they resolved to wait in his office until he came back. Maybe they could catch him by surprise, or negotiate strenuously with him. Either way, the random chaos and mayhem had to stop.

At least, that was what the two of them were thinking, until they noticed the big, admin-red envelope that had somehow made its way onto Grey's desk in his absence.

And if anyone's curious, the spring-loaded seat reset itself.

Kalar: "Huh, what've we got here..."

He lifted the envelope on the edge of his scythe, knowing full well how dangerous it was to touch something that was that kind of red color.

"I can't read it from here... What's it say?"

Garro moved in closer to the blade of the scythe. Normally he'd be against trusting Kalar with bringing his weapon this close to him, but after all, curiousity killed the cat...

Garro: "It appears to be from a certain... "Hiryuu". I recognize these envelopes, they're registration envelopes from the profiling offices, Dracoon's territory. It looks like an admin's finally officially registered in the arena."

Kalar: "So, what does that mean?"

Garro: "If my assumptions are correct, it means that Grey's no longer officially the most powerful person in the arena."

Kalar: "I... see..."

An evil grin crossed his face...

"No longer the most powerful... hmm...." a dark Navi waves her hand in front, the image of Kalar and Garro now gone, "We shall see...." The dark figure grins before she turns around and fades away into the pitch black darkness...

"Reed 'em and weep... Royal Flush," Spider calls out his hand. His opponents from the Neon Town Caligula Casino HP all groan as Spider racks up his winnings, and trudges off to cash in the cyber chips into zenny a the front desk.

After a few minutes, he walks out of the cyber building into the busy Internet City of Netopia.

"Been awhile since I last been to that Sim Battle Arena place. Maybe I'll go and visit the others," Spider said to his Net-op, Zekk.

"Yeah sure Spider, but right now we have a bounty to catch."

"Is it dealing with Vile?"

"No. Sonance."

Spider stops walking and looks at his Net-op through the window link. "Sonance? That female Forte look-a-like?" Zekk nodded. Spider sighs to himself before Zekk disconnects the link, and Spider logs out.

Jack entered the cafeteria, feeling particularly moody this day. He strode through the disgusting place, with no actual destination in mind. Just away from the noise outside.

"I hate tag. Such a pointless, childish game."

A strange shape suddenly popped into existence, floating right by his shoulder. It was kind of large, maybe about a quarter his height. Very lumpy and misshapen, with an impy little bat wing near the top - and very disgusting to look at. It was completely black except for two white circle marks on one side. If anyone were to witness it, they'd be surprised to learn that it was an actual being.

"You just don't like it because you were always the loner in your childhood. Always excluded from everyone else. You still are now. You have no living friends! I'm practically the only one you talk to, and I'm just a deathy sprite! Hyeh hyeh hyeh!"

"That's not true, there's... ... ..."

"Face it, you don't belong here! Abandon your silly mission and come back to the Netherworld. These living aren't worth your time."

Jack stopped short, staring forward at nothing with his eyes twitching.

"You won't talk me out of this now, Atrats. Just watch, I'm going to join the next battle I see here, and I don't care who it is requesting it."

"Oh r e a l l y? Hyeh... well Jack, maybe I was wrong to try and dissuade you. Maybe you're just very committed after all."

"Maybe you should just get out of here now. Your presence annoys me. Go find a corpse to chew on."

"Pah! So rude, so rude..."

The sprite disappeared with a pop, leaving Jack alone in the cafeteria. He stood still for a moment, and then walked on, deep in thought.

William walked into the cafeteria after a long period of doing nothing at home. Something was up...

As he walked into the middle of the cafeteria, the doors opened again, revealing what seemed to be William... again, but he wasn't in his usual black jacket with orange shirt and blue jeans. Instead, this William wore a Yoshi's Island t-shirt, shorts, and also was a bit younger. Then another William appeared inside, with an orange shirt and black jeans.

Three Williams? That can't be.
It was true though.

William: "Well, I should probably explain. I was looking at the old battle footage in the archives and... well, I found these two frozen in time. On further inspection, they somehow became unfrozen and ventured along with me for some reason. They were my first creations of myself. Boy, how pitiful they are."
William (B): "Hey! I can hurt you!"
William: "With what? Your random bag?"
William (W): "Yeah, I abandoned that a while ago due to the Windonian Empire coming along."
William: "No you didn't, but it doesn't matter. Both of you suck."
William (Both Past Selves): "WHAT!?"
William: "..."

The present day William walked forward and walked out to the other rooms of the Acmlm Board complex. He was more experienced now, withstanding a universal crash and such which his past selves never had to deal with.

Meanwhile, Binary William and Windonian William stood there. B William looked over at W William.

William (B): "Ummm... hi. Want to fight?"
William (W): "Sorry. I have an empire to fight."

W William ran out the way he came in to fight the evil Windonian Empire. Sure, present-day William had to fight the Windonian Empire, but recently with rumors of head soldier Barnaos having died on a mission made William think that they weren't a threat any longer and just wanted to have fun from here on out. W William probably would not realize this at all...
B William, alone, decided he was going to find battles. He flashed into binary code and then ventured off through the walls of the building.

----
OOC: Yes... now my past selves are up for battle. Reason? For a future appearance of Timesplitter William. You'll see later on.
NOTE: B William was my first character here. He traveled by binary. W William was a reworked version of him, but had a story. The present day William is my main character that I will barely change from here on out.
