what exactly is the goal of this project? Yes a portal but...what kind of portal? You can't expect people to join if they don't know what exactly they are programming.

well, by portal he probably means like a site that overlays the board, but uses news from a forum, and other stuff(kinda like phpnuke) although thats a full CMS, portals usually arent that complicated.

the point of this project is so people have some thing like a Web Portal System or content management system (PHPFUSION, PHPNUKE), that works directly with the acmlm board that they are using.

That's going to be an interesting trick considering how every copy of the board in existence is different.

Not to mention the terribly un-organized non-modular code. You're probably already set on it anyway, but I would only recommend -not- doing this

I didnt mean for all the ACMLM BOARDS, just 1.A2 and 1.92 and possibly depending on if i can get a 1.A1 (or what ever the one before 1.A2 was called), that also might be created.

1.A2 and 1.92 have VERY different ways of working. Good luck, I think it's a bad idea.

For that matter few people actually use 1.92 and 1.A2. They use 1.xx [insert owner's name here] Edition, featuring their own changes to the code that you would have to take into account.

I have decided that the portal will be coded, as something entirely diffrent, it will not work in conjuction with an ACMLM BOARD. It will be entirely seperate from your acmlm board.

Has this portal even been planned and specified yet?
Are there any supporting specs or UML?
