I need to clarify that I in no way advocate any sort of bigotry, and that I am all for a person's freedom to express his or her own sexuality, regardless of the nature or orientation of it. But, labels like hetero-, homo-, and bisexual serve a legitimate purpose, and they are quite useful. People shouldn't think that, since they are being labeled as one of those three things, it means the person who's done the labeling is somehow trying to supress one's right to free practice of any sort of sexuality that appeals to one. I'm not spouting any sort of anti-gay nonsense, and it's irresponsible to make it out as if I am.

But really, who cares if you are? If they don't like it, they can not read your posts. You have every right to be a racist, bigot, etc., just don't expect to be liked very much for it

I really dislike those that think everyone else has to change themselves to accomodate their beliefs. An opinion is just that, an opinion. A big reason why extreme leftists suck.

I know what a bigot is, and I know what one is. There is no such thing as a general bigot, someone who hates everything that isn't his own opinion. In one thread I may not have agreed with your opinion, but I tolerated it. I proved you wrong on factual grounds, though. I will admit, I'm bigotted towards homophobes. And frankly, I am not going to tolerate positions like that. I tolerate conservative positions on a lot of things. But discrimination against my friends, be it racism, homophobia, sexism, misogyny, anti-semetism, islamophobia, christophobia (whatever intolerance towards Christians would be called)...I'm not going to stand by.

Ziff, what's your problem? You do seem to attack SS rather than supporting your own argument there. All SS is trying to say is that he's against using concise terms to put on someone. And I agree. Although the whole PC shit was made to lessen ignorance, what it does is create more groups and separations that don't really improve the situation. Why try guessing a one word term for what Kasumi is? That's just stupid. (no offense to Kasumi, just the whole idea of such specific classification)

As for political correctness - I have a problem with it too. Acceptance isn't a part of that though. Ok, she's transsexual. That makes the job of classifying her preference even eaiser: she is a bisexual transsexual.

I accept and tolerate everyone. Being a huge fan of the actions those people commit is a different story, but that doesn't stop me from affording any person with an "alternative lifestyle" the same respect and dignified treatment that I'd give to anybody else.
