Arminas walked up to Thomas's body, and looked down. Arminas: Are you gonna answer? I don't think this situation's really funny. Thomas: I'm free! Arminas: Huh? Thomas: I don't have to deal with them! Hahahaha! Free from the soldiers.. And now I can freely talk without worrying about Sumara near me! Arminas: What are you talking about? You're Sumara yourself. Thomas: And what a voice I have! I didn't expect I'd sound like this! I haven't spoken for years until Allison finally came along! Thomas continued to laugh, with tears streaming out of his eyes. |

He could feel his body aching and draining itself of the curse's dark magic... It wasn't a pretty sight. He had retreated back into the darkness of the caves, far and away from the group. But then, he heard Thomas laughing maniacally. 'Hrm...' he thought, 'laughter's usually... a good thing... Considering we've just been attacked by those monsters...' Sigmund sagged against the wall of the cave. He'd need a little more time alone before he could confront them all again. |

Jus' thought it'd make sense, know what I'm sayin'? Thomas finally stopped laughing, but he was still crying while laying on the ground. Thomas: I'm sooooo happy to be away from those racists bastards.. but.. I'm still crying.. Clara was shocked to hear the speech change with Thomas. Clara: Why are you talking like that? Aren't you a.. Arminas: There aren't really any knights in Sumara culture. |

| Lucas: History has always told that the Sumara, which stands for "people of the sea", have had many troubles from the Koehra, which stands for "people of the land", which would be the rest of us. In current times, the Sumara are rather isolated.... As for those wings.. I really don't know, but I assume it has to do with abilities that Sumara have.
Arminas had a rather painful look on his face. Clara took note of this, and then glanced at Lucas. Clara: Yukin, perhaps we should get going. I believe we're all rested enough. Just the, a familar Yoshenyoshi appeared from the distance. He was hopping up and down. Quoshi: Everybody! Lily: Q! Do you know where Ally went? Quoshi: Cedric said they took her to the Ruins of Light! Lucas: Which was where Gregorious' army's camped at.. |

| Sigmund: "In another hour he won't be able to if he tries..."
Sigmund clutched at his chest. A pain there, now? Had he already become so old that he couldn't take something like this? True, he had cut things close to the wire. Another week or so and he might have been too far gone to go, but why now, of all times? Maybe he had pressed himself too hard over the past few days. That head injury didn't exactly help his case, either. Sigmund grunted as he tried to concentrate on the moment. In another few minutes, he'd have the strength to go on, his heart wouldn't be so weak anymore... Just another few minutes, and he could rest. The last stage was autonomous. THIS was the hard part. The glow on his wrist became a little bit brighter, as something embedded deep within his skin started to shine in the darkness. |

Rufus: Gregorious be playin' dirty, and Ah don't play that game. So, I is just gonna be stompin' his ass, ya heard? *looks at Arminas* We had some differences back then-- Arminas: You know, I almost forgot about that by now. 
Rufus: Hyeh hyeh hyeh. Arminas: I'm tempted of punching you right now.

| Ark felt heavier than usual, he couldn't shake the feeling as he ran. He would be there soon, but what could he do if he was ambushed? He could fight an entire army, but how long would he be able to last. So many doubts flooded his mind.
"Why try?" Elle wished she could laugh at Rufus and Arminas, they really needed to work things out. |

| The surroundings around Ark had changed from dusty, rock canyons to beautiful, grassy plains. There was still no sight of the army, but he was finally able to catch note of some clues. There were monsters that were busy feasting on other creatures that were previously slain by the detachment unit a while ago.
The Ruins of Light was located about a half hour away from the Waterways, of course, only to those who run at normal speeds. Far off in the distance, Ark can see another mountainous region. -------------- Rufus extends his hand to Arminas. Lily: Ooh! Could this be the start of a beautiful friendship? Arminas lifts his hand. However, he quickly balls it up into a fist, and delivers a hook across Rufus' face. Lily: Guess not.. Rufus stumbled backwards a bit before regaining himself. He rubbed his face, and made sure he didn't lose any teeth. Rufus: Whazzat for, ah?! Arminas: Who do you think you are? I'm not letting you off that easily! Arminas lunged forward, and set loose a quick jab. Arminas: You're the one who kidnapped Allison in the first place! Arminas tried to go in for another punch, but Rufus managed to lean away from it. Rufus: 'Ey, boy! Jus' let that slide! Fittin' supposed to shut up and shake mah hand! Arminas: Like hell I'll let it slide! Rufus held out his hand again, but Arminas just smacked the hand away. He closed in to perform an uppercut on Rufus, but once again, the bandit leaned away from it. However, instead of letting the momentum from his uppercut go to waste, Arminas managed to spin around and catch Rufus with a kick to the abdomen. Arminas rushed forward, aiming to take advantage of Rufus stumbling backwards, and unleashed a fury of body blow punches before ending it with an uppercut. Rufus: AaaAaahh~! Rufus was knocked into a wall, and slid down to the ground. Rufus: Eeeh...  |

| Ark didn't stop, he just kept running, going as fast as he could. He knew he should be catching up soon, he shouldn't have wasted that time eating.

| The path before Ark was soon turning into a fork, divided by tall rock formations. However, it was painfully obvious that one path led to the inside of the ruins of light. There were no soldiers standing outside, but there were plenty of equipment, and wagons that showed their presence.
Cedric: What is.... What are you doing here? Leaning against the wall before the fork in the path was Cedric. Cedric: I didn't expect anyone to be here by now. -------------------- Lucas shook his head. Lily simply laughed. Lily: I'd say Ruffy had it coming to him. Clara slowly approached Arminas. Clara: Selk. Arminas: Hm? Clara: I'm.. not sure if I said it before.. but.. Thanks for helping me back there in the Waterways. Lily: Aw, you two warming up to each other? Clara: It's not like that... Rufus: A'igh! Time to bounce on outta he-ya! Rufus leapt up, stretching as many muscles as he could. Lily: Whoa! He just sprung up! Hum.. I guess Ruffy's coming with us no matter what. |

Ark didn't wait for Cedric to say anything and took off. He wished he was ahead of the army, so that he stop all of them, chances are they were going to keep going if he was there or not. |

| Ark didn't have much space to run as Cedric stood in his way, appearing out of a puff of smoke...
Cedric: And what do you plan on doing, you brainless tank on speed? If you walk around the corner, the guards inside the ruins will see you. They've already taken the girl inside. Unless you want to fight them, as well as the monsters they've enlisted into their ranks alone, then be my guest. I'll be sure to tell everyone that you died fighting a death that's more stupid than those bums that fought the detachment unit. ------------------------- Thomas: I'm coming as well. Lucas: Our group is starting to grow a bit big.. Thomas: I didn't lie to Walter when I said I can go alone. I can hold my own with my visavain. Lily: Visa-what? Thomas held out his hands. A transluscent shape took form above his hands. The shape eventually took the form of what seemed to be a butterfly, fluttering around. Lily: Whoa! It's, like, making everything look all negative-like! Arminas: .. Thomas, was it? You're not a normal Sumara, are you? I've never seen one freely show his visavain like that. Lucas: .. In any case, it seems like he's not going to back down either. Lucas looks over at Elle. Lucas: And you? Are you going to come with us? |

| Elle nodded, it was all she could do after all.
Ark grabbed Cedric by the shoulder and smiled. "Kid, plans don't always work, especially when dealing with adults. We're stubborn, set in our ways, arrogant, and always right. No matter what." Ark kept smiling. "People like me are usually just looking for a way to end everything and be happy, there have been countless times where I could've turned and ran, I could've left this all as a horrible nightmare. However... I've seen more bloodshed than any man should ever have to see, I've seen more war than you could live with. I have doubt burried so deep in my mind that I hear it daily now." Ark paused. "I know I won't die. I will kill them all if I have to, whatever I have to do to stop people like Lily and yourself from seeing more bloodshed by normal men." Ark jumped over Cedric and kept running, he held his spear out to the side of him. He knew it was going to be painful, he knew that it was going to be difficult, and he was worried. |

| Cedric furrowed his brows and gritted his teeth as a glowing light came out of the pockets his hands were in. The description of an adult filled him with rage as an old memory flared up inside.
He kicked up a bit of dirt before he bolted towards Ark. Once again, the boy appeared infront of Ark. Cedric: Do you know how much I dislike it when my plans do not succeed? I hate it. It fills me with the intense rage of a thousand suns. If you run in there now, like an ass looking for its tail, you'll not only die a pitiful death like the many I've killed, but you'll be stirring the hornet's nest. Your allies will not be able to sneak inside, unless they can crap out Gods of War wearing pink dresses that will dance for the army in there. Cedric brushed some hair out of his eyes, revealing a set of very cold eyes, despite the blazing red hue. Cedric: Or are you purposely trying to bring hardships onto your allies? -------------------- Arminas secured his boots before running on the path towards the Ruins of Light. Ark grabbed Cedric by the hand and pulled him up by it. "Do you expect me to trust such a child with the lives of them all? Someone that is bound to rage? If you don't want me to go in, kill me now and stop me from doing it. Stop me and you can go with your plan. If you want me to listen to you..." Ark stared right back into Cedric's eyes, even though Ark had seen a lot in his life, his eyes were the same as they had always been. "...grow up." |

| Cedric pulled his hand free from Ark's grasp. He rubbed his hand, but still giving Ark the same lifeless look.
Cedric: I'm hurt. Really. To think you would never believe a child. I think I'm going to cry all the way home and write about this in my journal. Idiot. You tell me I'm a child, yet you intend to rush inside without thinking? THINK! How do you win if you do not THINK! Why do you think I was standing outside? Maybe I'll go back there now to wait for my tulips to start growing out in the meadows for me to tiptoe in. I thought I could have ALTEAST gained some shred of respect with giving information and coming up with a plan to save the girl. Cedric walked around Ark, and started walking back to the wall he was originally at. Cedric: You know what? I don't care. I'm going to atleast have my own fun, even if they are going to go through some trauma. ------------------------- Lily: Blaaah! Rufus: Whachoo gripin' about? Lily: Hey, come on, lemme ride on Spot's back! Rufus: What? No! Lily: C'mon! Rufus: Ah said no! Lily: Hmph... It was so much easier to move around with Drenchy around. Arminas: Speaking of which, he hasn't come back yet. Clara: Do you think he was caught? Lily: No way! There's no one that can keep that guy down. |
