| Lily: Time for me to help out.
Lucas: Lily, you've proven you can help. Lily: .. what's that supposed to mean, Teach? Lucas: I mean we're still inside a cave. We don't need any earth moves being done here. The base turtle withdrew into its shell as Ark drilled into it. Moments later, Ark was forced off by a concentrated blast that actually shot through the spot the spear was piercing through. Lily: Drenchy! Alright! Tonight, I dine on turtle soup! Lily's fingers started to glow as she held out both hands infront of her. She closed her eyes, and reopened them. Lily: Firewall! Arminas and Clara quickly got away as a line of flames crept up and engulfed all of the base turtles. All of the turtles were now withdrawn into their shells. Lily: This is getting annoying. |

| Ark didn't know what was going on for a second. He was flying through the air and then he suddenly hit a wall. He slid down it slowly, somehow turning on the wall to land on his feet. He leaned against it.
"We're wasting to much time..." Ark moved directly in front of one of the turtles, he could see the opening in their defence. "...follow my example." Ark hurled his spear right where the base turtles head had disappeared into. If he was right, it would go straight into the shell and impale the turtle. |

| The spear had successfully breached the turtle. Or so it seemed. The spear stopped a bit earlier than it should have. The cannons on the turtle quickly aimed for Ark until Arminas appeared out of nowhere and gave a sliding kick at the spear. The spear was thrusted deeper inside, letting out a loud cracking sound. The base turtle's cannons all seemed to have fall limp.
Arminas: Holy cow, I didn't didn't think it was going to work. Clara didn't seem to be able to break through with her sword, so I just figured a little help wouldn't hurt. Arminas didn't have much time to be amazed as he barely managed to roll out of the way of the cannon fire coming from the two remaining turtles. He scrambled behind the now dead turtle, whose shell made a decent shield. |

| Ark jumped behind the new shield himself and had a brilliant idea.
"You can always break something if you have something else made from the same thing!" Ark began to lift the base turtle, but only got it an inch off the ground before he dropped it. He spit out words while breathing heavily. "This is heavy." |

| Lucas: Looks like I should've been collecting a little more omes.. Lightning won't do a thing in here...
Arminas: I'll give it a try! But.. Clara: I'll keep the other two busy. Arminas: Thanks, Clara. Clara rushed in and began to strike at the two other turtles. She tried to get the turtles to fire at each other, but it seemed like they weren't falling for it. Rufus: Yo! If there's gonna be some dancin' around, I sure ain't gonna be left out of it! Rufus leapt infront of one of the turtles, and began kicking away at it. The turtle kept firing at Rufus, but his body seemed to keep bending right out of the way. Meanwhile, Arminas, with his hands glowing again, started to lift the base turtle. He let out all sorts of grunts and groans as the turtle's body actually started to move higher and higher. However, it seemed like he either wasn't strong enough or grabbed the turtle incorrectly, as it just tipped right onto its side. Arminas: Damn! The turtle's underside was still large enough to duck behind, which Arminas found out first hand. He leaned against the turtle shell, breathing rather deeply. Arminas: Even if you helped, I wouldn't have been able to get it close enough to the others.... Wait a minute, this is the same turtle you drilled into. Ark, your spear's still lodged on the side. Can you possibly set off some power from that spear of yours? |

| "I need omes for that and I haven't had any time to collect any. The best I can do is turn it into a spiked shell."
Elle looked towards the trench, there was a trickle of water. She poked Lucas' shoulder and pointed at it. She then pointed at his omes and then where the turtle's head withdrew. |

| Arminas: Damn, so much for that...
Lucas: I would we had a large flow of water. I'm not strong enough to control my lightning attack in an area like this. There's too much water.. too much metal.. And the base turtles seem to be walking lightning rods, as well... Arminas: Lucas! Do you need some omes? Can you use this base turtle's? Lucas: I'm not sure if it's what I need, but it might help. Arminas: Omes coming right up. Arminas leapt out from behind the shell. Clara and Rufus were doing a decent job in distracting the other two base turtles. With his hands glowing, once again, he threw his arms inside the dead turtle's shell, and gripped onto Ark's spear. With a few grunts, he managed to pull out the spear. He tossed the spear to Ark's side, and then quickly picked up the ome that had fallen out. Arminas stood up, and then tossed the ome at Lucas. However, Lily jumped infront of the ome, and caught it before Lucas did. Lucas: What are you doing, Lily?! Lily: I'm shocked, Teach. You don't even know if it's going to help you? Lily held onto the base turtle ome very tightly, causing it to glow. Lucas: Lily-- Lily: Honestly, Teach. You're more of a one on one kinda guy. I know what you were planning on. We're trying to get out of here as fast as possible, right? Then I'm the one that's best for the job! Lily's fingers started to glow as a cool wind swept into the Waterways. Lucas eased up a bit, as he accepted what Lily was about to do. Lily: Hey, you guys! Move out of the way! Clara looked at Lily for a moment, and immediately ran into Rufus, trying her best to pull him away. Rufus: Hey! What are you doing woman!? Clara: Shut up and move! Lily: Icey Wall! Lily pointed both of her hands at the two remaining base turtles. A rush of wind swept up from behind everyone and swirled around the turtles, which started to form chunks of ice. The base turtles started to squirm and withdrew into their shells. They started to aim the cannons, but the cannons were frozen in place. Eventually, the base turtles were sealed within two blocks of ice. Lily: Hmph.. I would've prefered turtle soup over turtlesicles.. but that's good enough, I guess. |

| Ark grabbed his spear and, after Lily's freezing went over, jumped onto the first ice block. He stabbed his spear in and the entire block cracked open and then shattered.

| Clara: Selk. Give me a hand.
Clara stood infront of the other ice block, with her back facing the frozen turtle. She twirled her sword once, and then, after using the other hand to grip the handle as well, thrusted the sword behind her, slightly piercing through the block. Clara took a few steps away when Arminas came rushing at the sword, and gave it a hardy kick. The sword was forced into the ice block, causing massive cracks to surround the block of ice. Arminas then casually pulled the sword out, and watched the ice shatter. Rufus: That was pretty stylish if I say so mahself. Lily ran up to Arminas, and clung onto his arm. Lily: Army, that was awesome. Clara: Lily, what are you doing?! Arminas quirked a brow as he handed back Clara's sword. Arminas: ... What're you angry about? Lily released Arminas and skipped over to Ark to glomp onto his arm as well. Lily: Ah, who cares? We won with style! Lucas: .. In any case, let's move on. Rufus was already standing outside, looking around. Lucas: .. Yo man, I hate to say it, but I don't see them. They ain't left any tracks, neither. Lucas: ... *sighs* Well.. I guess we can take this moment to rest while we try to figure out what to do next. |

| Everyone else eventually walked outside. Even though the sun was beating down on the land before it, there was adequete shading thanks to the tall canyon walls.
Lily skipped outside, and spun around a few times. Lily: Ah.. that nice, fresh air~! Oh, that's right. We've gotta heal that guy on Spot's back. Rufus: His name is Rusty! Lily: We mustn't worry about details, Ruffy. By the way, here. Hand this to everyone. Lily handed Rufus very large amount of smoked fish. She then skipped towards Lucas, who was lifting Walter off of Rusty's back. Rufus: ... 'Ey. Rufus looked at Lily, from top to bottom. Rufus: Where'd she get all these? All's she gots is that little thang by her hip.... Lily: Don't worry about it! Just give it to Drenchy and the others! Arminas quickly climbed up a small tree to get a better view. Charolette approached the tree and looked up. Charolette: .. So.. you're Allison's brother. Arminas: Yeah. Charolette: Hm... you're just like she said. Arminas: Allison told you about me? Charolette: Yes. Just before you arrived... Charolette looked down. |

| Ark grabbed one, as did Elle. Ark took a huge bite out of his fish and Elle silently laughed. Ark planned on ripped every edible piece of this fish off of the bones. Elle smiled while she slowly ate.
"Lily, how are you holding onto so many of these, and how come I didn't smell them earlier?" Elle's brow raised, it was a good question. She knew that Ark had spent at least a year or two alone and she figured he could smell food from quite a distance away. |

| Lucas: .. Yes, I too would like to know this.
Lily: Well, sheesh. Everyone's ganging up on poor me. Lily kneeled down beside Walter, and held her glowing hands above his body. Lily: It's what us treasure hunters like to call our Travel Mate. The way its designed makes it very spacious.. and lets nothing out, not even scents. It's perfect for preserving things, or if you're trying to sneak by someone without letting them know you've got a wonderful meal packed away. Lucas: Fascinating... Lily, what kind of material is it? Does it come from a certain species? Lily: Nuh uh! That's a trade secret! I can't let that go unlesssss... uh... hm... Oh! Unless you've been taught by the masters, or you're married to a treasure hunter. Lily gave two nods, and continued to start her healing abilities on Walter. Arminas looked in Lily's direction with a vacant look in his face. He shook his head and kept looking around for where Allison could've been taken. Charolette: Allison.. She said she was going to distract them.. And.. I accused her of her trying to make herself look good.. She then gave me her shell and told me to squeeze it hard. She told me to keep thinking "Help!" and don't stop... I was so surprised that she was serious about this.. She told me that her brother will come to rescue us as long as I have the shell.. Charolette looked up at Arminas. Charolette: I asked how she can be so sure.. "He's my brother." she told me, with a smile. Arminas: .. Allison said that? Charolette: Yeah... |

Ark sighed as he finished his fish. "...or 'found' it." Elle smiled, the only thought going through her mind right now was "These people are quite interesting." |

| Lily: Hey hey hey! How many times do I have to say it? I'm a treasure hunter, not a thief! Go ahead and look around! There's no where I could've gotten it from, except alllll the way back at the Yoshenyoshi village..... Hmph. Drenchy, of all people, How could you accuse lil' ol' me?
Charolette: Oh... Allison also said something about being like a marshmallow sometimes, but I didn't get it. Arminas immediately fell off the tree. Clara: Selk, are you ok?! Arminas: Ahh.. yeah.. I'm alright. Just.. didn't expect that last part. (edited by Kirbynite on 03-23-06 04:27 AM) |

| Lily: Well, maybe they went to the Ruins of Light?
Lucas: We're still close to the Yoshenyoshi village. Perhaps we should try asking Cedric. Lily: Do you really think he'll help us a second time? He didn't seem too into our cause, you know? Lucas: ... I'm almost positive he will help us. Lily: What makes you think so? Lucas: Just call it a hunch. Lily: Geeze, and here you keep talking about not making assumptions. 
Lucas: Experiments won't hurt from time to time. Lily: Speaking of experiments, this guy seems to be out to lunch! He still hasn't gotten up from all this healing. Lucas: He may be just fatigued. Charolette approached Arminas, who was still sitting on the ground. Charolette: Here.. Take the shell. Charolette handed the shell over to Arminas. She then bowed. Charolette: I'm grateful to you for rescuing me... thank you. Arminas: Heh. Well, I'm glad you're ok, then. 
Charolette quickly turned around. She was a bit flustered. Charolette: Wh.. why are you smiling at me? You're Koehra.. |

Walter suddenly sprang up, catching Lily off guard. Black wings quickly took form behind him as he leapt into the air. Charolette: Walter? Walter: Charolette! Thomas! Come! An energy sphere appeared around Charolette. A sphere of energy was about to appear around Thomas, until he brandished what seemed to be a rapier made of pure energy and ripped the sphere apart. Walter: What are you doing?! Thomas: It would be faster if you take just her, Mister Korethil. Walter: What are you doing mentioning my true name?! Thomas: I.. er.. My pardons, sir. My.. quick reaction had distracted me from speaking correctly. But.. It... is for the best if Charolette was taken to a safer place immediately! Walter: Thomas.. Thomas: I have the strength to go alone. You do not need to worry about me. Walter: So be it. Walter, along with Charolette, then took off. Lily: Hey! You would've died if it weren't for us! You could atleast say thanks! After Walter seemed to be out of an earshot's range, Thomas fell to the ground, sitting down. He then started to laugh. He was laughing so hard that he fell onto his back. Lily: ... Uh.. |

"What happened?" Ark knew he wasn't going to get an answer instantly, but he shouted what he said next. "What happened!? Why did he do that!? We saved him." |
