???: "I'll take ya on, sonny. Goodness knows I could use a few extra duckets." He patted Arminas on the back and shook his hand. Then he approached the smaller boy and cuffed him on the back of the head. "Boy, a real man issues his own challenges. Spunky youngsters like yerself only serve to complicate matters." | Sky took this chance to place himself between Arminas and the old man, holding his hand out in front of him
"I'm not exactly sure who you are, but anyone who offers that kind of cash is probably beyond the abilities of most. That or he's just looking to start trouble. Either way, unless he really starts something, I'm not going to let anyone try to collect that reward." Sky briefly turned to Lily. "Tell me more about the Everlight...if it's just one treasure, we don't really have much incentive to work together to help you, since I'm sure you'd want to claim it for yourself." |

| There was a slight shine in what little you could see of the old man's eye as he grinned a surprisingly tooth-filled smile...
???: "Hoho, young whippersnapper, you've got no idea who you're tellin' that to..." He merrily pushes him aside withut any sort of physical effort whatsoever. The codger turned towards Arminas. "Now then, my boy, do you want to fight or shall I just take the fifty thousand Shines from your little friend here?" | Sky was a bit put out at being shoved aside like that. He closed his cloak around him again but put his hand on the hilt of his sword. He didn't know exactly what, if anything, the old man was planning, but he didn't like the codger. Again, though, he didn't want to be the one to start something, so he was again on the defensive. Sky didn't like the defensive that much. He'd rather be the one out there dishing out the hits than waiting for them to come. In the long run, he told himself, it was better this way.

| The Drow looks and how his abilities are operating with a raised eyebrow...muttering to himself. "(Geez...The Weave is acting very, very different 'round here...glad I carried material components....)"
He looks over at the two lining up for a scrap. His mouth tightens some. His eyes dart between the two, and among the various bystanders gathered 'round. Keeping his eyes on the fight, he reached to the black leather bag at his side, and pulled out a very small pouch. He opens the little tiny pouch up, still looking at the posed combatants. "Sure, young lady...I shall accompany you on this quest. First...let's see what's going on over here." He pulls out a pinch of powdered silver, and flicks it towards the upcoming bout...the powder sparkles brightly in the sun and disappears before it hits the ground. Detect Evil (starts off just finding out if evil is present, and then a few seconds later, determines where the signature are at, and which is strongest. Cannot pierce buildings or doors) |

And with that, she marched off north, heading towards the exit. ???: Heh, seems like we've got people with a bit of brain power. Arminas looks at Sky and the old man. Arminas: Get out of my way. Townsman1: Hey, move aside! I wouldn't mind having some fun and getting paid for it. A bunch of beefy looking guys start to surround Arminas, as well as other random townspeople, who seem rather fit. Arminas: Get out of my way! Arminas held up one of his hands. Townsman2: His nails! Th-they're glowing! Townsman3: Another ome user... ???: Come on now, folks! Don't hold back! It's fifty thousand Shines, remember? Fifty thousand! Townsman1: Yeah, but still... |

There was a glint in the old man's eye... "This will be interesting... The name's Sigmund, boy. Sigmund A. Rexius. A pleasure to meet you. I think this is yours, by the way. Dunno if it's important or not, haven't read it yet." He brandished a slip of paper with some writing on it. In a few moments he'd probably open it to read it, but first... "And you, young feller..." He glanced over at Arminas' short friend, and tossed a small, black sphere at him. "...Nice try. But I'm a little too old to be fooled like that. You'dve done better to just let me take something." The smoke bomb went off as a dud, spraying a little bit of black miasma here and there that served only to add to the old man's presence. He returned his attention to Arminas. "You want this back?" | The boy grinned as the dud of a smoke bomb slightly went off.
???: I see you're more than an old pickpocket. Arminas: ... Hey, what the hell? Arminas held up his fists. Arminas: If you don't hand that back, I swear I'm going to bust your lips. All of a sudden, some strange music involving light drums and finger snapping filled the air. "Hey! What's all the commotion about?" Arminas looks to the side. He sees a man and a woman dressed in white clothes with red designs here and there standing ontop of the fountain. The man seemed well-built, as his muscles can easily be seen through his white shirt-sleeveless shirt. The woman beside him wore a white tube top with some white short-shorts, unlike the man, who was wearing normal white pants. The man had his white jacket hanging off of his back, like a cape, while the woman had her white jacket tied around her waist. Both were wearing white boots, but the woman was wearing a nice white ten gallon hat with a red rose on it. Arminas: Wha.. |

| A smile ran across Lily's face. She continued walking, but didn't turn her head.
Lily: So.. are you joining my party then? The next thing Arminas knew, the townspeople scattered away from him, except for four girls. For some reason, old 50's rock 'n roll music began to play in the distance. A song was going to start.... Man: Back me up, chorus girls! Hey you there causing trouuuuu-ble.. Don't you know the rules of this town? Chorus: What if you break them?! Man: Ohh noo! Chorus: What might happen to you?! Man: Brrrrrr! Both the man and woman leap down from the fountain. Both are dancing, along with the four girls. The man holds out his left arm, while the woman spins around beside him. Man: Thooooooooooooosse who break the ruuuuuuuules-uh... will get to feeeeeeeeel the iron hammer of justice-uh.... and hear its thunderous peal! Townspeople: Yeah! They're defenders of justice! Man: If there's a crime we'll stop it! If there's a brawl we'll squash it! Coz that's our giiiiiiiiiiiig! Chorus: *holds up right arms, with a closed fist* Go Bouncers! The man steps towards Arminas, pointing at the red haired boy. Man: Yo! You got it? |

| Sky looked rather puzzledly at the dance number taking place in the plaza, and walked up to Arminas, ready to draw his weapon at a moment's notice but appearing to just have both hands hidden inside the cloak
Sky: I understand the need for defenders of justice, but don't you think you're a bit out of bounds picking a fight with the boy when you'd be better off looking at those who would attack him in the middle of the town? I have sworn to defend the peace here myself, and he hasn't done anything wrong...so anyone who attacks him is my enemy as well. Maybe that prize doesn't sound so appealing now? |

Arminas: Are you people deaf!? And in one swift punch, the man was sent reeling, holding onto his stomach. Townsman1: Aaaahh! Do you know who that is?! Do you realize what you've done?! | Sigmund sighed a wheezy sigh... This was how they always started. The boy needed some refuge or else he'd be getting himself a royal kick in the arse.
Sigmund: "Fool! Come on, boy! Curtis'll blow you to pieces if you don't get out of here!" Using the same kind of oddness he used to make Sky mysteriously appear not in his way, the old man grabbed Arminas and began dragging him through the quickly-enclosing crowd. He beckoned to Sky. "And you! Red boy! Don't be a hero! They're the heroes around here!" |

Sky: Alright, kid, that's enough. You don't want to start a fight now, though it may be too late. Violence is for last resorts...he was annoying, but not necessarily aggressive. There are better ways to go about this. Sky released Arminas and walked to the man, helping him up. Sky: I'm sorry, sir, the kid seems to be a bit edgy. Don't take it personally, I don't think he wants trouble...and I certainly don't. Just let us get out of here and keep the peace here, alright? |

| Watching the old man be hit and setn backwards was a little too much for Snipes. He didn't know what was really happening, but on instinct, Snipes ran over and was about to see if the man was all right, when he realized that he was. Not know just what was happening, Snipes hung back, trying to trake stock of the situation. Seeing a townperson nearby, Snipes sidled over to them and tried to get their attention.

"You're not very patient, are you?" It's the Dark Elf. Before she could answer.... "Wondering how I got out here before you did? Simple. Being able to slip in and out of crowds unnoticed is a beautiful skill, 'specially with an appearance such as mine that usually draws attention. That, and I have longer legs...longer stride. Do you still want me to come along?" |

Lily: I'll call you Drenchy! ------------------------- Curtis: Heh heh... hah hah hah hah hah hah. Townsman2: Curis is angry! He's angry! You're in trouble noowww. Curtis: Isabella! I find myself filled with the most intense sadness! Curtis stands up straight, as Isabella quickly stands beside him. Isabella: Yes, Curtis. Curtis: Now I must harden my heart! I must swallow my tears! All for the sake of reforming this wayward youth! Isabella: Yes, Curtis. Curtis: *holds up hand* Still! It must be done, for the sake of love! *points at Arminas* Beauty is power! Great Bantam! Isabella: *spins around and holds out both arms* Beauty is sin! Wonder Bantam! Curtis: Prepare yourself! We are the Bantam Bouncers! Arminas: .... Oh, hell... Both Curtis and Isabella lunge towards Arminas.
