Yeah...a poll with no options or questions. Just too damned many to pick from....


So...which college's fight song is the greatest?
I would say Ohio's...but I'd be stunned if anybody here aside *me* knows it. I'd still prefer above the others...but in the grand scheme of things, it won't make the cut, so...I'm going with this one.

USC only knows how to play their own fight song and absolutely nothing else. I swear, everytime that their band played anything during the USC v ND game that was all they played. And I'm going with the nations oldest university marching band, the Notre Dame Fight Song.

Yeah, Ohio State's is quite good (and growing up in Ohio, of course I've heard it plenty of times), but I have to be a bit biased, being in my own school's Band (not exactly your average Band), and go with Stanford's "All Right Now"...it sounds good.

As for USC's fight song, someone made up some words to it that we sing along with from time to time at games versus them:

This...is the only song we know...
it's boring and it's slow,
but it's the only song we know...

I am liking Michigan's because I live here and that is all I ever hear and it sounds pretty good. I wonder if Michigan State has one because I have never heard it.

Standford, baahh. Standford got kicked out of our stadium for disrespecting all of us Irish. I guess I'm really biased against Standord and all things Red because my dad went to UC Berkeley, and we all know that berkely and standford just don't get along, and our rival dorms color is red. But yeah, the only other fight songs that I can recognize are Ohio State, Michigan, and UC Berkely.

I'm not such a fan of Standford or Standord either. Stanford, on the other hand, is another story. As for the Band, yeah, we've been kicked out of a few places...but it's not personal at all, we made fun of the Mormons too. We make fun of Stanford students sometimes as well...equal opportunity fun at everyone's expense.

But yeah, I suppose if your dad went to Cal, that'd make you biased against us.

Wow, that's some of the most attrocious misspellings I've had in recent times (I guess my fingers have a mind of their own). I remember the Tree came to one of the Cal basketball games and starting chasing one of the female cheerleaders and one of the male cheerleaders just knocked it on its ass, it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

And Scipt Ohio is the best college football tradition, hands-down.




As for the OU fight song, I believe it was our high school's fight song. Well, the melody, anyways.

The only time Kal's fight song is remotely acceptable is when it's accompanied by the appropriate lyrics. Are you familiar with "The Dirty Golden Bear"? I'm not sure it would be appropriate to post, at least after the first verse.
