You all look like a bunch of sissies. So what if they gave him a mature look? I for one like the realistic 'MATURE' (how some of you like to call it...) look. Do I dislike the childish look? No. Does the graphics change change the gameplay in any way? Hmm, nope. So there. | The gameplay should be the same which is what counts when playing bomberman. The problem with the new look is that it is too far a transition from the old to the new. The old bomberman could have easily been updated to look more modern in the same way the hi-def shots of the new sonic the hedgehog look smoother and more "adult" despite the fact he pretty much remains the same. | |||

| I hate this belief in the video gaming world that all people want is titulating adult games and how that is the only way to get atmosphere in a title. Adult themes and atmosphere are in no way connected. Wind Waker was the cutesiest game ever with the cell shading yet it managed to still retain the atmosphere that Zelda titles have always had.
Bomberman has always been somewhat of a party game with its bright colours, flashes of light and multiplayer aspects. Those two linked pictures seem to show the game off as a dark dull depressing world of dropping bombs on apponents heads. Bomberman has always been about the gameplay but surely the colourful atmosphere of the originals was something that complimented that gameplay. If they really wanted to make bomberman more adult couldnt they have just made the bombs explode bomberman in a shower of blood. |

An example of a good, "mature" character update is Link in Twilight Princess. He's drawn more realistically than he is in Ocarina of Time, but he still looks like Link. It's not as if they replaced him with a model of The Rock in a green tunic. I'm not going to judge the games until I know what the gameplay is like, but these character designs leave me saying BUH? with a blank face. Besides, at the end of the original Bomberman, wasn't he revealed to be Milon? Somehow I can't imagine bubble-blowing pajama boy wearing that sort of ultrabadass armor suit.  |

| Is this to show the graphical compatibilities of the 360 or do the people who make this game really believe this will work?
I have always said that graphics don't make a game, so if the gameplay is just as good, I'll like it. Then again, I doubt I'll even get a 360... Well... maybe they are trying to go with the NES cover art + 2? 
(only decent small image I could find) I bet as an addition that they will add in Master Chief or some other SPARTAN from Halo... |

NES games are notorious for occasionally having...shitty box art. The most infamous of which is Mega Man's. And Bomberman was released BEFORE Metroid, so it may be possible that Samus's suit got inspiration from Bomberman's box art. It's highly unlikely, though.  |
