What would you rather have; two hand drawn pictures or a random short story?

Okay, back again with more answers, apparently...

Sky: I'll say this: It makes things a lot easier. Can't see the harm in going for it.

Thoughtless: I'd take a knife (very useful, those, for cutting things), a cellular phone with satellite service instead of tower service (to call someone with in case I get in a jam), a solar-powered water purification device, a blanket...

And huh, that leaves me with one extra slot. Can I take people?

DV: Well... I've already probably seen one of the pictures... So that means I'd stand to gain more by reading the short story.

*whacks Grey upside the head* No you didn't see any pics that you thought you'd get, goofy.

Umm... if you saw a big shiny red button that didn't read anything, would you push it?

So I'm definitely going to go for it...how bad an idea do you think it is to suggest she and I go out to dinner...the same night I get back to campus?

It certainly won't be difficult to do, seeing as I somehow ended up in the same dorm as she's in. Seriously by accident...well, mostly. It was on my list of choices for housing, but it was down a ways.

Also, since I assume I will have a roommate, and likely one I don't know...should I make an attempt to drive him out of the room so I can have a single?

DV: Oh, HELL YES I WOULD. *slams fist down*

I mean come on, it's big and red and shiny. We have phones with big red buttons on them littered around the URI campus. They're supposed to be for people getting assaulted, we call them rape phones because of that.

But the thing is, the button is just huge and red, and when you hit it a siren goes off and a big blue light flashes above your head. I mean, seriously, you just wanna hit one and just yell out "WHEE! I WON!" no matter if the police come to investigate or not. It's a BIG RED BUTTON THAT SAYS PUSH ONLY IN EMERGENCY. That's real temptation.

Danielle: I have not tasted it yet. It sounds like some kind of teenage mutant ninja soda. I will investigate this matter further tomorrow and provide an update.

Sky: Dinner: Good. Drive roommate out for a single? Baaaaaaaaad. Me and my roommate have an agreement: We let each other know when we're having guests over.

Or, rather, he lets me know when he's having his guest over... :\

Well, I was mostly joking about the roommate thing. And I should also say that's a separate question not related to the first. The girl I'm interested in is in a two-room double, and her roommate's boyfriend comes over from time to time anyway, so if I got involved with her, it would be more likely at her place (which is one floor up and down the hall from my room anyway, so no walk of shame!). This was more just a general question...and mostly joking, too.

See, spring quarter of my sophomore year, my roommate went abroad to Japan, leaving me with a one-room double, but no roommate. At least that's what I hoped, as I was told I might be assigned a roommate who was coming back from a term abroad. I was determined to get a single and said I would somehow drive the guy out of the room to demand housing elsewhere. Thankfully, my resolve on that was never tested. Does your response change at all now, even though I am rather joking?

Also, for going out to dinner. It's a bit of a ways off campus to get to anywhere to eat, and I don't have a car. I'm not sure whether or not she does, but there's also the option of the free campus shuttle, and bikes. Given a choice of the two (or three, if she drives) of those, do you have a recommendation? I would obviously offer to drive if I had a car, but...I don't have one out there.

Oh wow I know a few friends if you told them to do that they'd do it for sure. With the phones you're talking about on URI campus of course. I have the most retarded friends but they're aweswome though.

What are your thoughts concerning the new video game consoles (Revolution, 360, and PS3)?

Will these things be worth the price? It seems that Sony is shaping to have the most expensive console out of the three, do you think they can overcome this small predicament or will they lose some ground to Nintendo and Microsoft?

Danielle: I haven't slept in four days...

Danielle: The twinkle star scares me, actually, because of the way it stares and smiles. I don't really like it, it kind of scares me a little bit. I do like the Twinkle Star scheme because of the background colors (it's like a more sophisticated version of Night), but Twinkle himself... No way.

Thoughtless: I ain't backing Sony's excessive price or the 360's EXTREME HARDWARE GOGOGOGOOGOGOGOOGOGOGOGOGO movement, but I AM in favor of the Revolution so far simply because at the moment, it has yet to truly fuck up.

Viva la Revolution?

Awesome: Plastic. You can do everything with plastic. Including paper.

Skyd00d: No, not really... You're in more or less good shape no matter what happens, if the roommate thing was just a joke.

As for transportation, I would say the best bet would be the campus shuttle... It'd be nice for you two to ride together and not concentrate on anything but each other, something that you can't get with driving a car or riding bikes. What say you?

Well, I think that would probably be for the best. Do you think it's a bad idea to suggest we go out to dinner the first time I see her, should I wait until later in the day to do so, or what?

Mostly school, partly.... other things...

The most prevalent is the time I stayed up until 4 in the morning on tuesday to prepare for a speech I had to deliver the following day, only to realize that the speech wasn't due. Things just sorta snowballed from there.
