Sky: Family bonding?

Sky looks over the group a bit.

Sky: This would have to be about the most dysfunctional family I've ever seen. But it's ok! I brought the Winnebago with me! No matter what you do, it's always good fun in that thing.

Grey thought his way through the archives... Winnebago? Had that ever come up in the old tapes? Another inside joke he missed. Crap on a stick. Time to improvi--

Grey: "Wait, wait, wait... How'd Sky get here in a Winnebago? And furthermore, is it chartreuse?"

Logic fails once again.

OoC: Sky?!? This is the weirdest coincidence ever... So, what are you doing in Oxford?

SomerZ got up, looked at all the people surrounding him, and realized he knew but a handful of them, and he didn't really know any of them that well. With a few glances from side to side, he decided the pink thingy was the smartest to adress, the other SomerZ had often gone on adventures with him, he seemed to recall.

SomerZ: Uh, hi there, uhhhh, Karbonite. How you doing? Ehhh.. Heh.

With a dry smile he tried to appear as friendly as possible, hoping that his shortcomings on knowledge that SomerZ was supposed to possess wouldn't shine through.

Back in Floatia

The door to Adamant's place flung open, with a maddened Floatian President stomping in.

SomerZ: Adamant, call whoever you must. We need to get transportation, and we need to find The Weatherdark. Pronto!

OoC: Yay, Sky!

Adamant: Right. According to Maijin, if Evil SomerZ went through all this trouble just to steal the Whetherdark...
Maijin: Weatherdark. He's in outer space. If he had a quick job to do out there, the Weatherdark is the easiest way to get there, and finish the job before anyone discovers him. Which means that it may already be too late.
Adamant: But how CAN we stop him if he's out there. Neither the Rocket nor the May Flareship were built for interstellar travel. The Whetherdark...
Maijin: Weatherdark.
Adamant: ...Weatherdark was all we had.
Maijin: You know, this is where having official connections comes in handy. I'll call the boss and tell him to contact NASA. We'll borrow a ship from there.
Adamant: Wait, doesn't space travel require weeks of preparation and an enormous budget?
Maijin: Does the Weatherdark require that? Can't it just go straight into space after the pilot flips a few switches?
Adamant: Well, yeah, but...
Maijin: And do you really believe the Weatherdark is so much more advanced than any other craft on Earth?
Adamant: But... whenever there's a report on TV or...
Maijin: TV? Do you really think the media is let in on every single government secret?
Adamant: No. But when it comes to space travel...
Maijin: The stuff you see on TV is horribly outdated. Today, we have access to far more superior crafts. The problem is, those crafts are top secret, and the public aren't supposed to know about them. That's why we launch primitive ships every once in a while, the public has to keep believing the lies we tell them. And when Russia launch their primitive ships, which are probably also to cover the fact that they have access to far more advanced technology, we have to as well. We can't let the american public believe Russia can send ships to Mars and we can't, even though I'm certain multiple Russian ships have left the solar system by now.
Adamant: So it's all a big conspiracy? Why can't the officials just give the people the truth, instead of wasting millions to keep all this hidden?
Maijin: You want the truth? You can't HANDLE to truth.
Adamant: Uh...
Maijin: So yeah, I'll go make a call.

((Well, this is a study-abroad program, rather common in the US. Sometimes for a year, but sometimes just for a term, students will travel abroad to another country and experience their culture. It's a cool experience, and at least at my school I'd estimate about a quarter to a third of students go abroad at some point during their undergraduate career))

Sky: Grey, it's no ordinary Winnebago. It's about on par with that ship floating over there in terms of technology, though obviously not a warship class of any sort. It's taken us through a lot of turmoil over the years.

Sky turns to SomerZ and shoots him an inquisitive look.

Sky: Cyborg-man, you feeling alright? You're acting stranger than usual, which is saying a lot.

Grey kicked at the dust a little bit... He didn't have very much to contribute to the situation right now, so he just kinda chilled there.

Grey: "Sounds kinda like that movie Spaceballs..."

Someone had to ask...

"Uh, but why'd SomerZ call Kirbynite "Karbonite"?"

(Ah, I see. I was pondering going to Nicaragua myself for a semester, but had to cancel my plans due to certain obligations made here in Tromsų.)

SomerZ put a hand to his helmet and coughed. Then he twisted some screws, pushed a few buttons, and removed the helmet. Following which he started rubbing his head with his hand.

SomerZ: Uhh... I... My head hurts... I, uh, the fall...

Floatia

SomerZ: All this conspiracy-mongering reminds me, the Russian government sent me some new "candy" they wanted me to test before they put it out on the streets. Maybe I should just go look at that before we take off with the NASA ships...

Sky walked up to SomerZ at this point and gave him a great big bear hug.

Sky: Ah, it's great to see you, buddy, it's been a while. Sorry about the fall. Seems the helmet's a bit complicated to take off. But that's alright, I'll help you with that later if you want. You know how much I just love all this cyborg stuff. Absolutely fascinating.

SomerZ was in a pickle, and he knew it. This man who was hugging him right now was an acquaintance of SomerZ, that much he remembered. He was also, judging from what he had just said, a good friend. However, SomerZ had no idea what his name was. SomerZ slowly and awkwardly put his arms around the man hugging him.

SomerZ: It's, uh, good to see you, too, uh, friend... But I think, uhhhh, the fall must have knocked some circuits out... Uhh, it seems I've swiss-cheesed my brain.

But SomerZ didn't hear much of what Kirbynite had said, having been smashed into the ground. Sky drew his sword and pointed it at the cyborg.

Sky: Circuits fried or not, if he's well enough to speak then he would know that I wasn't acting normally there. Or at least SomerZ would. Who the hell are you?

Kirbynite: Reeh?! What're you doing Sk-- Oh.. Wait.. wait wait wait.. That was SomerZ's twin or something.. Some guy that's connected to him... They both feel the same pain when its inflicted on them..

Kirbynite looked at the grounded cyborg.

Kirbynite: ... Unless you did that on purpose

Sky: SomerZ's twin? Oh right, that. I hadn't really considered that. All I knew is that he wasn't SomerZ and was pretending to be. Which suggests he's probably not friendly. I suppose if I had remembered the twin-thing I might have found a nonviolent way of doing it...

Sky thinks a moment and gives a swift kick to the cyborg.

Sky: ...or not. Look, it's not that I want to cause SomerZ pain...it's that I want to cause this guy pain, and don't particularly mind that SomerZ feels it too.

Floatia
As the cyborg finished his sentence, he suddenly fell to the floor, seemingly in pain.
Adamant: Hm, I'd say Evil SomerZ is right in the middle of whatever he was planning right now, and we still have no idea of where to start looking for him. This doesn't look good.

Maijin, who had left the room to make his call, returned returned with his cell phone in his hand, having just hung up on his boss.

Maijin: One four-person rocket ship coming up. The boss said he's gonna contact NASA and have a pilot bring the ship straight to the palace. Free of charge.
Adamant: Hey, that's great. It seems like Evil SomerZ is putting his plan into action right as we speak, though. How fast ARE these ships?
Maijin: Not really sure. Last time I checked, the fastest one could reach Mars in 10 minutes, but that was a couple of years ago.

(Yeah, a tiny bit of godmodding there. It couldn't be avoided.)

SomerZ: Bah, that rat-bastard is just trying to "repay the favor" I just did him. Oh well, two can suck at that game...

With that, the cyborg got up, then raised Blastie up in the air, and proceeded to hit himself with all his strength in the gut.

Blastie:

A few seconds earlier, Neo Grape Gardens

SomerZ: What in the Hell? My twin? What are you gu... Ooooooomph...! My tummy hurts...

SomerZ pushed the Red Mage who was on top of him off, and proceeded to whack himself over the head, the ensuing seconds had spectators in both Floatia and on Neo Grape Gardens amused, as all they could see was basically one half of a big fight.

Sky: You know, Kirb, I changed my mind. I don't think we have to do anything. This is the best time I've ever had at your place.

Sky went off and fetched some lawn chairs from the Winnebago, which he set out on the ground for the group to sit in.

Sky: *sitting down* Good times, man, good times...
