| The bird creature had never expected this attack and never did it do anything to block it. It simply screamed loudly as the blades struck it and caused it to fall off the cliff.
Below, echoing sounds of the bird creature smashing on various rock formations as it fell deeper and deeper could be heard... as well the echo of its scream. | "It was over here!" a bird-like voice...
"Almost there!" another voice... A squad of bird people flew into the scene. The five were pretty much non-descript with their dull grey feathers and dumb-looking eyes... although their auras seemed to show that they were maybe not so weak. One was carrying a staff while the others had wands. The five, upon seeing Mel, were shocked. "What kind of demon is that?!?" asked one of the five. "Whatever it is... it must be the thing that caused the sixth one to sceram!" said another one. "I wonder if the sixth one is OK..." asked one of the five, worried. The one with the staff landed and stepped foward. "Whatever happened... let's kill that demon!" | Mel shot up into the air at a high speed, creating a sonic boom for them to fight off. She turned sharply and headed straight back down, bringing a huge wind behind her. She suddenly stopped about five feet above the birds and the wind came down with a bone shattering force on them. Her wings stopped it from hurting hurt, but she doubted the bird's wings were like hers. | |||

| "LOOK OU..." too late, the bird men were still struck by the wind.
They tried to fight the wind but seeing as it was too strong, they were blown away. The five were sent flying away from Mel... but although most panicked, the one wielding the staff begun to chant words as the attack was sending him flying. BAM! One of the five collided with a sharp spike as it was sent flying and found itself transfixed. The birdman lost his head... just as he finished casting his spell. Instantly, the three other birdmen got ahold of themselves and noticed how the wind no longer affected them... Looks like the birdman had casted a Resist Wind spell! The three grinned and prepared spells of their own. | Mel: "No good anymore? Fine, this should be interesting."
Mel flew high into the air, inviting the others up. If they came up, she could suddenly dive bomb at them, getting them by surprise with a half ambush. |

| However, the three did not follow Mel as she flew upward. Unstead, they finished casting their spells and hovered there, letting the spells take effect.
The first spell affected a cloud near Mel. The cloud turned dark and then, there was a loud sound and a thunderbolt was fired from the cloud straight toward Mel! As for the second spell, the air around Mel became suddenly very heavy... and it became obvious that the birdman had attempted to force Mel to land! The final spell caused the winds to become stronger, brewing up a storm near Mel. In fact... the winds begun to gather in the distance, forming a funnel of sorts... a tornado? =Mel= Life Force (9) (IIIIIIIIII) =ENEMY= 3/5 =SCORE= (+) 9 kills (+) 3 Ring-outs (-) 1 self-termination (+) 4 waves cleared (+) 22 posts |

| Mel pointed her slim sword at the lightning bolt and let it hit, then released it down at the birdmen to keep them busy, her attack caused her minor damaged from taking the voltage.
Mel: "Heh... using the sky against me?" Mel spun in the air a single time and took the air currents into her own power, a green glow flowing around her. She pointed her rapier at a birdman and the funnel started spinning faster, threatening to suck up all the birdmen. | As the thunderbolt was reflected back at the birdmen, they tried to channel their powers to deflect it... but much to their horror, they found out that Mel had channelled all of the wind powers into the tornado, not just the direct attacks!
One of the birdmen was, as such, badly shocked. The humanoid bird creature fell from the sky and landed on a nearby cliff edge. It was badly fried... but most surprisingly, it had survived. The two others, noticing how the tornado was now turning against them, landed and grabbed into their fallen comrade before trying to fly away. As the tornado was still quite far, the birdmen were successful into not being sucked in... Mel focused her power into the wind and turned a strong gale force winds towards herself, hoping to bring the birdmen back to her. She watched for the right time to strike, where she could intercept them. |

Mel sheathed her sword and watched as the wind collapsed onto the birdmen, trying to compress them and crush them by shear force. Mel watched with a sigh of sadness, what a way to go. |

| The birdmen made a lastditch attempt to escape, chanting one last spell... but the spell failed, only causing a few useless sparkles to appear.
Hollow bones and huge compression force does not mix well... CRUNCH! Bird soup! | Mel looked around calmly and slowly drifted back towards the mountain, landing on it and keeping her back against it, looking around carefully, trying to make sure she wouldn't get snuck up on. Mel raised both her hands into the air, wind circuling in one and fire in the other. She was preparing her Simoon spell. | |||

| It was calm near the mountain... but then, all of those huge displays of wind magic had not been very subtle... and as such, predictable, the birdmen in the area were alerted.
In the distance, from the nearby mountains, flocks of winged humanoids left the cliffs, forming clouds of sorts as entire squads came to investigate. Those magical spells didn't seem very weak and as such, it was obvious that the birdmen were taking those events very seriously. Already, a first squad arrived. The three birdmen, all of them males and unlike the first ones, were wearing some kind of armor suits. Those were obviously light... but it was a sure sign that those were higher ranked and probably more dangerous than the first ones. They also moved together, obviously showing more synchronization. The three, silent, flew past Mel, not noticing her hiding place, as they looked around... "There's something fishy here..." stated one of them. "You are right... I really doubt that those powerful winds were natural... and yet... where is the one or ones who brought them forth?" The three continued to look around, trying to find the source of the magical winds that had appeared earlier. | Mel whispering: "Fire and Wind, consume the earth and sky, burn this mountain and these birdmen with everything you have..."
The wind began to stir, forming a very large tornado around the mountain. Mel concentrated as a pocket of air protected her from the tornado's powers. As the tornado grew stronger, now covering the entire mountain with ease, fire swept up in it and the tornado started to burn the land. Mel was still safely protected inside the tornado. Mel: "Simoon!" |

| As the tornado begun to form, the birdmen flew away from it, wondering what it was... before realizing that it was a huge tornado of fire forming up.
Figuring out that they were no match for whatever was forming this up, the birdmen escaped to get reinforcements... ... and Mel didn't have the opportunity to try and change her strategy to keep them from doing so as time was frozen. "How boring." that was the Lunar Dragon again... "It looks like you aren't exactely weak after all... Guess I understimated you... NOT! Time to crank up the difficulty! Heeheehee!" The mountains faded and Mel was once again in the void, before the Lunar Dragon, as it prepared the next arena and the next foes... "You are persistent! | Mel: "Persistant? Thanks for the compliment."
Mel realized it wasn't meant as a compliment, but she just wanted to get the dragon riled up. The sooner it played it's full hand, the sooner Mel could get out of here. |
