I'm a complete n00b at this in general and in an attempt to use ExGFX I read the sticky. Maybe I'm just being stupid but I don't know what to do since I just keep my .smc file which I'm saving to on my desktop. I'm really confused because I just started learning this stuff. Thanks in advanced.

First thing you should do is NOT save things to the desktop, but to a folder in My Documents.
Secondly, read the help file for Lunar Magic. It tells you amlost everything you need to know. If too much of the stuff there is confusing, I'd reccomend against going into a Computer Science field.

Not necessarily. I save mine in a folder in a folder called "Emulation" located on the desktop. As for your question, THEkoopakid, are you sure you have the ExGraphics and Graphics directories where your hack is? That is probably your problem.

It's easier to manage your hack and derivative folders if you have the ROM saved in a dedicated directory (AKA a folder of it's own). When you first extract the graphics from your ROM, Lunar Magic will automatically created the Graphics and ExGraphics folders. You will need to save your ExGFX into the ExGraphics folder.

PS: I editted the thread title to make it more descriptive. For future threads, please make certain you actually describe what your thread is about in the title.
