| When I tried hacking the text(with a hex editor)before, it worked.
Then, I found 1BPP Font GFX at 000D7FD0 in Pokemon Gold ROM. So, I hacked it to Japanese font with Tile Layer Pro. I saved. However, the changes don't occur. I checked to see if the ROM is edited with YY-CHR, and it was edited. Why does this happen? I saved, checked, but no results. Are the font saved in a different place? The Rom has several fonts. Just look around, the changes will probably be in Pokédex or somewhere

| Indeed. One font is used for the text such as dialogues and the such, the other, which has a black background and white characters, is used for the Pokedex and is probably stored rather closely to the footstep images (also in 1BPP format) | |||
