| i searched this forum and coudnt find the answer so dont please dont jump on my ass about not googling. everytime i try to edit zelda lttp rom with the newest version of hyrule magic i get a popup window with the title "bad error happened" and "unable to save (ok button)"
am i missing some dll or something also if i cant get hyrule magic to work can someone point me to a decent (or crappy) z3 hack? something like lttp the second quest is what i want. thanks (edited by ryanlost on 02-11-06 11:09 PM) |

| What version of Windows are you using? (Or even worse, are you using Wine or Virtual PC?)
The only thing that can cause this message is trying to use an invalid file handle. In other words, if the operating system tries to access your rom file and cannot do so properly. Perhaps whatever form of Windows you are trying to use is not compatible with the API calls used. Or perhaps you do not have administrator privledges on your account on the computer(s) you are using. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the file is Read Only or hidden, and hence cannot be opened for Write access. |

i never have a problem opening and saving roms in hex editor, i use translhextion. i definately have admin priv. its not hidden but hopefully its read only. many of my roms come from a site that puts read only on their roms. ---- it worked. thanks a million friend ---- EDIT: can anyone direct me please to some actual ips files of lttp hacks? i can only find some few screenshots.
