I barely saved my system from dying after that; gettin the taskman window was nearly 5 minutes of hoping my system was still responding....

And how I hate it.
On my old machine Azureus used ~60mb and on my new machine it uses ~300MB.
But I've never reached my max of 1Gig as far as I know. Though LimeWire slows my computer down a lot.

Btw, what program were you using?

Holy crap. Something is really draining power from the CPU.

DC++ used 60% of my computer's CPU power so I switched to oDC instead.

And what program drained all that CPU and memory? Explorer.exe?

I actually had crazy memory usage happen, but that was when I had a virus. When I got propely ride of it, no more problems with unusually high memory usage.

Dear god I hate that so much. Project64 has suddenly decided to hog up 1GB of RAM whenever it runs. Now add that to 100MB used by lololol (with a crapload of tabs and extensions), 300MB used by Azureus (which is also constantly accessing the hard drive), 200MB used by Windows itself, and me only having 256MB to begin with... Spending 20 minutes waiting for something to respond is NOT FUN. And then the task manager opens... and so do 30 more instances, because it's suddenly decided to continue launching more instances when I mash Ctrl+Alt+Delete repeatedly (not knowing whether it responded the first however many times) instead of only launching one like it normally does.

And God help me if I try to run something in High priority and want to do anything else... I don't even know why they let you select that, it just freezes everything.

How about when you can't run AIM, lololol and iTunes all at the same time without your computer spontaneously restarting. Or even just AIM and Limewire. And if my computer's in a really bad mood.. I'll get kicked offline for no effing reason. I don't even have to be using lololol or AIM for this to happen. Sometimes, I can't even open myspace.com without my computer crashing.

Oh yes, the joys of owning a computer that "fell off the back of a truck".

Setzer screwed up good this time. Not that it's a bad thing; you can learn from mistakes. But a memory leak that got that out of control? Damn! That's ridiculous!

Bet you anything he forgot to close a statement or something like that.

But geez... sometimes lololol messes up and takes up most of my PC's load but that's an easy problem to fix with closing/re-opening it. I've never nearly killed my PC's session with a leak.
