I suppose I would like to join in, perhaps as a midgame boss battle. Like, number six.

I would show up as Rufus (from my avatar), perhaps... But I would have to make absolutely sure that no one even thinks that they can ever ever ever use him for anything else, and also some specific entry in the credits saying he's my character (like how in the Mario Kart games there's credit to Rare for DK, you know?), because I'd rather not worry about legality issues later.

I'd like my "level" to be an island floating in the sky, with a tall blue tower in the middle. Five or more floors, please, and battle me at the top. Challenges should be oriented more towards puzzle solving than tough fights. Not a big island, but big enough for it to make sense to build a tower on it.

I'd also like to know if anything's changed from the old one... I looked at the thread in the archive, and the story seems kinda... meh to me. Has it been made more different? And who are the main characters, anyway? Are you using the Final Fantasy-style battle patch? How large should my battle sprite be? And could Peardian make a userbar-sized version of the support image so it will fit in my signature marquee?

Now that I've hit you with a barrage of questions, I'm going to ponder just how I will portray Rufus in three dimensions.

My cup of rhyme is lightly seasoned with thyme.

Hmm, this sounds familiar. Is this the same Acmlm RPG as the one in this thread in the archive? I've been waiting for an update for quite awhile.

Perhaps I'll be boss 4. My character is similar to Mario in everyway except of course the name. I don't care what stage I'll be on so I'll let you decide on that.

But that's the really, really, really, really, really, really N00b version. The lines are re-done with no errors and reveal the users REAL traits. Fabio is now Boss 4, and Koneko is now boss 6.

Trust me. This is really an improvement, and it's actually funny.

Hey Riku, how about Paper Mario styled battle sprites? I can easily make them, and I know how to grab a Waddle Dee forward facing sprite. Is it basically going to have Earthbound - like battles?
Also, on the rival battle where I appear, could it be in an area similar to Shooting Star Summit on Paper Mario? Or maybe a castle or something....

If it's possible, I can have my buddy, Metal Kirby join you, if ya like. Kirby kinda fell into a Metalizing Machine and...well...let's just say weight and puffed-up flying plus a wooden floor don't mix.

EDIT: Here are the enemy battle sprites! In the cases where there are more frames, animate them.

I'll make level 2 tomorrow.

Just three questions that have been overlooked...

Oh, and I'm proving my impatience here.

MM, your Puffy Puff looks like the product of laziness. It lacks the smoothness of the other sprites. I suggest redoing the outline to make it more round and less pointy. And I would think that there would need to be more frames than four or five, especially if we go into the whole attack animation thing. Which I'd like to do, and I'd help make the sprites for it, because it would make the whole thing look more professional. And it would be valuable practice for my own game.

Yes, I love bombs.

Anyway, if I have the choice of level, could I have it something along the lines of this?


I dunno, I like that tileset...

Also, I have some old Pokemon Gold sprites I drew that could work for some enemies... I mean, I could always touch them up if deemed necessary.

Here are the ones I could find of them. I did these... about two years ago I think?



They could use some EXTREME retouches... especially the non-red spikeo...
Animations for them are no go. If I get my own level, make it non-animated for a retro feel... I guess...

Also, for a battle sprite, could I use a Megaman 7 sprite edit? It would be easier for me to draw different poses. Also, do I need to draw an overworld sprite? If so, could someone give me a template (not the Magikoopa one in this thread. A real sprite sheet used in the maker you are doing this in which I presume is RM2K3).

OH! And for my battle area, I would like it for somehow to lead you to the middle of that temple with a teleporter that takes you to some weird dimension composed of binary. Then I appear and the battle starts...
I'll need a story up to this point to figure out why you fight me...

3.How large should my battle sprite be? 111 x 170 would be normal. But anything else from MM's enemy sizes will work fine.

Hmm, I wouldn't mind being added somewher near the end (Confontration 3 that would be?) Keep in mind that I have alot of influence around here, so I would be one of the last ones you meet. (Besides I was the most active member between 2003-2005 and parts of 2006...)
