| I did alot a research conserning the "Blaster Master" a few years ago and came across site that offered the game image but not in a single file. All the levels had to be downloaded in different files, since I already had the full image I didn't bother. But now it's got me curious, because a 257KB rom doesn't warrent a .rar, .r00, .r01 kind of download.
Does anyone know why the game would have set up like that? |

| I would think that the provider had cut down the max. file size tu about 100k or something.
Was not uncommon back in the Pre2001 days. |

| Are you sure it was a rar divided in parts, as you said ?
Because that made me think of split ROMs, with a format like game.00, game.01... That's not a compression thing though. As many dumpers only accept floppy disks, big ROMs (ie: uncompressed size > 1.4 MB) had to be split in order to be loaded... Therefore you would sometimes stumble on ROMs with such a format a couple of years ago... |

Originally posted by Ten You weren't very clear then, cause it sounded like you were saying the ROM you saw had .rar, .r00, .r01 extensions... |

| Rar had these extensions back then for splitted archives. |
