One of the little koktari, looking rather sheepish, walked towards Kiyone. It looked up, and spoke with its little high pitched voice.

Koktari: Well... uh... We have a sort of.. infestation in our water supply.

One of the other Koktari immediately spoke out, with a high pitched voice as well.

Koktari B: Don't get us wrong, we're okay with bugs!

Another Koktari stepped forward.

Koktari C: But bugs don't poison our water with their nests!

Koktari: We haven't been home for a long time now..

The koktari fell silent. They looked at one another before one said...

Koktari: Gohma.

Koktari B: We're still tryin' to think of a way to make them leave...

Koktari C: But we refuse to hire mercenaries!

Koktari B: Yes! No way!

Koktari: Don't get us wrong. We value our home more than we do with the money we receive from the water...

Koktari C: But we have very bad experiences with mercenaries..

Koktari B: And bounty hunters!

Koktari: And most definitely treasure hunters.

Koktari B: Definitely treasure hunters.

Koktari: So... uh.. We'd appreciate it if you gave us a few more days to think of a way to get them out ;

Johnathan approached quizzically.

Johnathan: "How about farmhands? We are fairly harmless, and to our credit, we can defend ourselves if need be. It is the way of the farmhand, after all. When the time for battle is past, swords become plowshares again."

He pointed to JD, Keone, and Mihoshi...

"They may be bounty hunters and mercenaries, but I and my compatriot have no formal association with them. Also, I am able to do this:"

He raised his hand into the air, and gathered vapor from the dry atmosphere around him, focusing it into a block of ice that rested in his hands, and began to melt.

"If need be, I can provide you with enough water to survive until we find the source of your problem."

Kiyone: We're FEDERAL RANGERS! *points to badge* (Also, it's "Kiyone" )

JD simply continued what he was doing, giving Zig some oats to eat, ignoring the present conversation.

Glenn: It's not just their problem, Johnathan, it's everybody's, including our own. The Bowl provides water for the entire region.

Johnathan: "You are correct... It is not as though I can simply conjure up some water for everyone, can I? However, it may serve as a temporary solution, if anything at all."

He stared the businessman down apprehensively. The last thing he wanted was for his... 'abilities' to be abused.

"I might have been. If I was, does it affect your professional relationship with a man like me?"

The business man felt confident that he had found the right person. He stepped towards Johnathan, brushing the little koktari out of the way, and handed Johnathan a letter.

Business Man: You or your employers, who I know now to be from Outset Ranch, are being charged to pay a 100,000 rupee fine for covering the damages caused by the storm in Kakariko Gulch.

Glenn: *animefall* As I thought. *muttering* This is why I've always said you need to use your powers conservatively...

JD stopped what he was doing and walked over to everyone else now.

JD: What's all this now?

The business man takes a look at JD, and quirks a brow.

Business Man: I'm amazed a man of your caliber is still walking about.

The koktari look to each other for a moment and then begin looking at the humans, as well as the one in the poncho. They quickly spoke to each other before speaking up.

Koktari: We're sorry we don't have the water right now.

Koktari B: But we promise we'll take care of it pretty soon-like!

Koktari C: We're going to be heading back now.

Koktari: Once again, we're sorry.

Koktari C: And we're sorry for leaving so soon, but we don't want to deal with anyone trying to.. uh..

Koktari B: Muscle their way in.

The group of koktari look at the second speaker. He shrugs. It was a bit blunt, but he had said what they felt. The koktari turned towards the Southern Bowl and begin walking.

Kiyone: Now hold up! You Koktari are contractually obliged to supply that water, and even if you weren't, the entire region is dependant on it! The underground spring in the north isn't near enough to rely on alone for even a few weeks' time! You can't honestly expect us to let you just go back and try to deal with it yourself! Especially since we already brought the money all this way.

Glenn: And especially since even together, you Koktari would be no match for a gohma queen.

JD was ignoring the entire Koktari situation, and kept his eyes locked on those of the Business Man.

JD: And I'm amazed a guy like yourself isn't busy pushing up daisies somewhere.

Meanwhile, Mihoshi was busy trying to calm down the train conductor, who, like the majority of his passengers, was impatient to get moving again.

The koktari stopped in their tracks as Kiyone spoke up, some even fell on their faces from the sudden halt.

Koktari: She's got a point...

Koktari B: But we're not s'posed to let humans in.

Koktari C: And what about Pikar? He told us to have faith in him.

Koktari: ... You heard what she said... Even a group of us can't take on the Gohma Queen by ourselves.. Just because he thinks he's a hero and has a glow bug with him doesn't give him the ability to save the day, you know..

Koktari C: Uh.. Miss Ranger? We'll go speak to the Great Deku Tree about it, but you're going to have to wait at the base of the Bowl while we ask him for permission...

The business man stood up straight, puffing up his chest a bit while placing his hands behind his back.

Business Man: Men of my stature have too much importance to be doing such a thing..

The business man looks over at Kiyone.

Business Man: Miss, why haven't you done something about him?

Kiyone: There are somewhat more pressing issues of concern presently. Besides, if anything you should be thanking this lot for saving your ass back there, along with everyone else's on the train. *turns back to the Koktari* I suppose we can wait at least that long. *turns to Mihoshi* Mihoshi, tell the conductor to go ahead and leave! *turns back to the business man* Unless you have business with the Koktari, which is doubtful, you'd better get back on the train. Next one won't be around for quite a while.

Johnathan: "I..."

He was completely stunned. Had his powers done that much damage to the localized area? With the vast expanses of open desert, one would think a rainstorm would be easier to deal with and adapt to, considering the rains of the desert came very rarely, and came in force at that. Still, he had used his abilities out of line... And now Outset was going to have to pay THAT much? Insane!

He desperately implored the businessman, trying to catch him before he boarded the train...

"W-wait! Is there nothing that can be done to mitigate this? One hundred thousand Rupees is far more than Outset can afford! What if..."

He got a wild idea, that sounded crazy in the face of the current situation, but just crazy enough to work...

"What if we were able to solve the problem of the water being poisoned? Would not that reverse any kind of climatory damage done by my storm? The damages themselves would be outweighed by the good that our efforts accomplished!"

The business man slightly turned his head. He gave a look to Johnathan that seemed to say "Let go of my arm", even though the ranch hand wasn't holding onto the man.

Business Man: That would mean I would be paying you to fix someone else's problem. The koktari are supposed to have taken care of it, and I'm sure they have enough money to fix their problem. If the Koktari cannot solve the problem, then we'll take our business elsewhere. We've been finding untapped springs here and there, and one that might even rival whatever amount of water the South Eastern Bowl provides over at Mother and Child Plateau.

The conductor of the train gave out a loud, irritated sigh as he headed back to the train engine. The familar train horn went off, which finally started to calm the passengers down inside.

Stewardess: Yay, we're going to be moving soon!

Meanwhile, the koktari looked one another when they noticed the people staying behind. They didn't mind too much the Federal Rangers... but seeing the others like Johnathan and JD slightly unnerved them.

Glenn: Best not to worry about that situation for now, Johnathan. Besides, you forget it's Miss Kurima he's going to be dealing with... And frankly, I pitty the man who tries to weasel money out of her.

JD: Well, I guess now we wait.

Business Man: Hmph.

The business man started heading back onto the train. He only stopped just to say:

Business Man: And I hope the cacti will be expecting a smaller payment for the water.

And with that, he boarded the train. The koktari stood silent for a moment before speaking up.

Koktari: We'll come back as soon as we speak to the Great Deku Tree.

The other koktaris nodded their heads before they turned around and headed towards the South Eastern Bowl.

Johnathan: "Miss Kurima, indeed, but the fact still remains: How will I ever explain this to her? If it is true, and the ranch does owe that many Rupees due to my actions, I doubt I can ever be forgiven for such a crime..."

He looked to the horizon, where the desert shone with the rising humidity of the day's sunlight.

"This is, of course, assuming it was a crime, and it was damaging. To our own credit, there is no evidence of damage from a storm, save for the land itself. And where have our Cactus friends gone?"

The koktari were all halfway to the base of the South Eastern Bowl. It was quite a bit of a walk, but they were just bounding along just fine.

Meanwhile, the train gave off its final horn before it finally started moving. The stewardess that never opened her eyes walked to one side of the train, and waved goodbye to those who had stayed behind.

Stewardess: Bye bye.

Marin: Hey, Auntie Kurima?

Kurima: Yes, dear?

Marin: Where do ya think that Gato thing went off to?

Kurima was leaning against the ranch's northern gate. She looked out into the wilderness and gave out a sigh.

Kurima: I just saw him running by for the fifth time.

Gato's constant "singing" echoed out in the distance.

Gato: "Aaaaaah Gonzalez-uh! Aaah ee-nah-soo-noh-ee!"

Marin: Atleast he's keepin' all them wild dogs away!

Kurima: It's too late to be that energetic, Marin. Go get some sleep.

Marin: Meh.
