11) Stop sticky hunting.
12) Start every level from scratch. Don't move around the parts in an existing level, start each level with a blank screen. (Forgot the key combo to delete everything, sorry)
13) ExGFX helps boost interest in your hack tremendously.
14) Read the stickies. They're stickied because they contain answers to the questions we are sick of answering.

How about...

15.) Don't post joke, false, and/or pointless guidelines unless you flat out tell your audience that it is a joke. You know...don't mislead anybody just for the point of making your hack stand out more.

16.) Keep all your questions in one topic. For example, if you ask how to insert ExGFX in your hack's topic, don't post another topic about it, as it'll lead to confusion on whether or not your problem has been resolved.

Hey, my power is back! Now I actually CAN threaten to close the thread if you don't keep giving bad advice.

Edit: STOP giving bad advice. STOP giving bad advice!

So we have to keep giving bad advice, or else you'll close the thread?

17) Just because you got some neat ExGFX sets from the Workshop and you put them in your hack, doesn't make the hack good. You have to mix good level design with the graphics to make it work.

18) Even the smallest bit of innovation will prove to be influential in your hack's success. Do something new, make something fresh!

19. ALWAYS, ALWAYS post screenshots. They don't have to be major spoilers or anything, just take shots of parts in your levels that you feel are the most exciting. If you don't post any screenshots, people will likely doubt your hack is even worth playing.

20) Simple GFX tweaks such as changing the 'smily cloud's pallete to 5 and using the grey to shade really help.
For example:

See how much better my cloud is from the original?

21) When using the default donut bridges, be sure to have the rope connect to something on either end. Having the rope float in mid air is tacky.

22) Try to darken up Mario and Luigi's colors using actual rbg's. The Original colors make Mario and luigi look like they've been using too much bleach.
