Actually, it was a program that caused one of our fans to stop working but we didnīt know that in the beginning.

And my brother played a game that barely used any power of the computer.

That's happened to me before; just did last night actually.

Problem is, when that happens then the keyboard is totally frozen. I either have to use On-Screen Keyboard (*shudders*) or restart. Never figured out why.

I've noticed that on some computers, if they are muted, any system notice/error would make the internal speaker beep. Try unmuting it and turning the volume down instead.

Meh, but I'm never doing anything to cause a system error. Unless it's an error that happens randomly?
Either way, I'll keep in mind everything and see if the sound stops.

Even something like a "Save? [Y/N/C]" dialog will trigger the beep (I know, the computers at CCSN do it too)
