I want to use PalASM (or anything that will work) to make two Bowser levels with different HP. I want one level when your fighting bowser. Bowser takes 3 hits the first two rounds and 5 hits the last round. I know I can do this with the ROM addresses. But I aslo want another level when your fighting Bowser again, this time he takes 4 hits the first two rounds and 6 hits the last round. I'm not good with ASM pointers either so I could use a little help. Thanx in advance.
Is this even possible?

This is what you need to do:
1) Add breakpoints to the Bowser HP bytes while fighting him. Find where in the code the bytes are read.
2) Change the instructions to read from an unused spot in RAM.
3) Make the level ASM set the RAM bytes to the HP you want.

Actually, I'd recommend against using PalASM. It's old and crusty and limited and generally a pain to work with. Try LevelASM instead, it uses an indexed ROM table and actual JSLs, so you can place your code anywhere in the ROM (PalASM limits you to one 32K bank).
