There's also quite a bit of time left. If there's one thing I learned about ACS back when I cared, it's that if you're determined, then it's pretty much always possible to make up for a deficit of posts in a short amount of time.

Eh. Last month I started regularly placing in the ACS around the 14th, and I ended up in fifth place at the end; but with 65 or so points seperating fourth place and myself. So I can see what you mean there, Sky.

So far, it looks like placing on the ACS today (Albeit it in the lower rakings) doesn't seem so difficult at the moment.

Watch. The moment I post this, people take it as a dare, and suddenly to place in the 10th position you need 40 posts.

You talk of an active board like it's a bad thing. Which I suppose it is if those are all spammy posts. I do recall days exactly like what you're talking about, with posting in some cases ~1 post per minute for the past half hour or so for much of the top 10. It also tends to cause Colin to come up with an interesting headline.

Oh, and for today's "medalists":

Oh, don't get me wrong. I am all for active board and insane posting amounts. I just like pointing out that I always seem to lose steam during these spree's. It's like I get overwhelmed by so much posting that I simply lay back and read.
