No. I agree too. The levels are way too hard for a hack like this. The Bullet Bill idea was somewhat clever, but the colors are very unfriendly, and some levels can't be passed without save states.

Advice: If you make a hack with the original gfx, you have to make it unique and clean like DW:TLC, if you just throw random blocks and enemies everywhere and make it difficult to play and at the same time not fun whatsoever, NOBODY will like this hack. Please rethink your levels. Play some good hacks in the hack database to get a good idea on how good level design can make a great game.

Wouldn't that remove the point of the entire game, though? I'll agree that it's a little over the top at times and that there need to at least be midway points and unlimited lives, and although I do agree that it wouldn't hurt to have better graphics, it doesn't make the hack crappy.

Oh, and I like this hack. As I implied before, it's a nice change from that standard shit (GO RIGHT/DOWN/UP WHILE AVOIDING ENEMIES LOL) everyone else seems to put in their hacks. Not that that is a bad thing, but it certainly is a lot more creative in level design than almost anything you'll ever find in the database at the moment.

I'll give you that just about every SMW hack ever made is pretty terrible, but just because this is different, doesn't make it good. The whole idea could've been done much more intuitively. I defy you to tell me how dying when you screw up is better than being teleported back a bit. If I want to play a game that makes me constantly think about what's going on, I'll play Meteos.

And I play Meteos a lot, by the by.

[sorry. I am not good at writing in english. please understand me.
I'm writing this with a dictionary]

I had wanted to make not standard stages with same patterns, but new type.
Same patterns makes us boring, don't they?

So I tried to make a stage more new and creative though it is hard too much.

All stages can be cleared by logical thinking.. not just accidently.
It is just unfamiliar to you.. so you couldn't think the existence of stages which require lots of brain's work.

Change your fixed idea. Don't take it easy..

and.. Yes... it's hard and you're right. But it's my intention. I thought this hard hack would impress Acmlm's people who always play easy hack.

Please don't deny my hack because the ways to clear stages are strange for you.

And some people who are expert at making smw hacks cling to graphics or palettes only. I think the most important part of hack is Stage, not graphic.

Please don't judge hacks by graphics only... Graphic is just a flavoring

... It's time to change the conception.

and here's a tip Yoshi's island 1.

I've already found how to clear this, also the SMW+ serie was almost as hard than this one

and for the those that find this hack too hard, here some useful cheat

Brilliant. As I stated myself in a post in an earlier topic, I said that all you do with good graphics is gaze at them in amazement for a few seconds before starting to play a level. After that, you interact very little with the graphics, short of seeing what's solid and what's not. The lone exception being levels where you must pay attention to detail in graphics in order to proceed, but that type of theme is used very sparsely. To support this statement even more, check out the page for Donkey Kong Country at Wikipedia. It says right there that Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's producer and the creator of Mario, criticized Donkey Kong Country for having "mediocre gameplay". Nevertheless, people play it anyway because "the art is good".

Always play easy hacks? There are hacks out there way harder than this, you know... And just because it's easy, doesn't mean it's not fun.

Regardless, my problems with this lie with the implementation. I don't like how even if you know what to do, you may fail anyway by timing something wrong... And then you have to start all over. Doing that a lot... It's very, very tedious.

Hahahah.. Of course, LEVEL 1 is likely to easy for many people.

But nobody can say that THERE ARE HACKS OUT THERE WAY HARDER THAN THIS, if he tried Bowser's grave or Coal mine.
But if you can say, would you tell me what is harder than this?

Well.. As I said before, I just tried a new type. Fun or not, this hack is only experimental.

If I fail, I'll make a standard stage hack with SUPER GRAPHICS.. like this..

In conclusion, I want to tell you this
