It wouldn´t really matter that much too me.

And Pichu hurts himself when he´s attacking but he has the highest offense in the whole game.

Quoted for truth and obvious fact that too many people miss. =/

And here's another bit of obviousness: we're upgrading to a new console - why the fuck would they need to remove anyone? And with no need to do so, why bother doing something that will inevitably piss more people off than it's worth?

Yea, see, the sequel of a fighting game having LESS characters, omitting characters...that is BAD.

And everyone knows that SSB is about the characters. That's the whole thing that started it. If they were all generic random Clay-Fighters or something, who'd give a crap? They're famous (and not famous at all) video game stars that we either love already or learn to love.

Ice Climbers? WTF, mate?
And I love them now.

If Nintendo does have a new series releasing with Rev., it could be smart to popularize them with SSB3.

But it would be kick-ass to see another jump in character numbers like there was from 1 to 2. I mean, they pratcically doubled the roster.

Though I wonder how the character select screen would be if we get any higher than what we have now...but still, I'm holding out for some new characters. Or, geez, they could friggin' just make alternate costumes new characters.

I mean, make one of Peach's alternate costumes Daisy, only have it LOOK like Daisy, sound like Daisy, etc.

Stuff like that could be cool if they can't go full-blown with characters.
But I'm sure we'll be seeing one or two famous old-skool characters in the mix, as well as a couple newer stars, like how Roy was. When Melee came out, Roy had JUST gotten into a game (or maybe it was a little after Melee...).

Anyway, I'm not worried about controls at this point--it's all about the characters. And I'm gonna die come May when we see SSB3 in action.

Did anyone ever play Mortal Kombat Trillogy? I owned that game on the N64 (I actualy liked the series at one point ), and it contained nearly every character from every single MK game up until that point. Even Ermac (the "glitch" character). My point is that its entirely possible to fit in lots and lots of characters into a selection screen. If worse comes to worse they could even include a 'scroll bar' of sorts. But that'd actualy piss alot of people off I bet, so no.

Amen.

Anyway, away from the characters, what about the stages??? They seriously need Bowser's Castle, a dungeon from Zelda, maybe even King DeDeDe's castle. I mean, it's the same ol' junk over and over again. It needs some creative areas to duke it out! What about some Fire Emblem places? What about the Crystal Caves from Yoshi's Island? (that would be wicked awesome though ) Who agrees with me here? _¬

Keep marth and I'm happy.

Still, I'd definitely like to see more levels and characters.

More stages too, and bigger ones.

Is anyone going to the OC2 this year???

I will be there and its going to be the last world wide tournament of smash bros melee. Ken (no.1 in the world or so) is the one whos hosting this tournament. This will be a great event. Hopefully I'll be participating in South America crew battles and its leader is going to be ChuDat. There will also be low tier tournament, Singles and Doubles and the Crew battles. I cant wait for August now.

@ Alastor: I saw your are the only one that is advance here. Are you going?

Wait wait wait, who said the game was coming out this year? The game is a huge project, and they got started on it "late", which of course was worth it to get Masahiro Sakurai leading it again. I highly doubt it will be a launch title sadly, unless they get a huge boost ahead by doing something such as using the SSBM code base...

It was my understanding that Smash and Luigi's Mansion were going to be launch titles as they are the first games for rev to be announced plus didnt miyamoto or the big man say so?

Why wouldn't they? It's written in C/C++, they should be able to port it no problem.
