0x005E8 to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Small/Big Mario's hat + outer clothing 0x005E9 to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Small/Big Mario's skin 0x005EA to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Small/Big Mario's hair + inner clothing 0x005F0 to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Fire Mario's hat + outer clothing 0x005F1 to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Fire Mario's skin 0x005F2 to 0x----- (0001) = Color of Fire Mario's hair + inner clothing Pretty much, you can replace the values at these addresses with whatever you would like. | In SMB1, Jacobthehero, the only two differences between Mario and Luigi are the pallet of the sprites, the text in the upper right hand corner, and the text in the castles by the toads or the princess at the end...nothing else.

| Yeah, there's a patch at ZD called Luigi Game, made by YY (Yes, that YY), that inserts SMB2-style Luigi controls and kills two player mode in favor of character selection.
That's what we based Mario Evolution on, by the way (Did anyone ever pick the hack up?) |
