And now, a visual demonstration of what this thread just did when evildevil posted their entire collection instead of what they just bought recently.

Or, STOP DOING THAT.

I think it is the fact that you posted your entire DVD collection when the purpose of the thread is to post your most recent purchases...

Which is what drjayphd said in his post. How can you miss that?

DVD's:

-Jackass The Movie: Never was a fan of the series and never saw the movie. Now that I seen this, I want to watch the series. Some good stuff, some gross stuff, some stupid stuff, but good fun either way.

-Constantine: Liked the movie. Bought it.

Yeah, so yelling at me (ALL CAPS) and an image depicting what I assume is supposed to be me dying... yeah. So, if I post a few more things than everyone else in this thread does, that means the moderator of this forum wants me dead. Real mature.

I'm not here to make enemies though. So I'm dropping the argument here on.

Apology accepted, but next time, bring cookies.

Today's purchases:
* Bill Hicks: "Salvation Oxford"
* Black Strobe: "The Other Side Paris"
* David Bowie: "Heathen" (2002 reissue w/bonus disc)
* Fiery Furnaces: "Gallowsbirds Bark"
* Rainer Maria: "Catastrophe Keeps Us Together" (!!!)
* "Saddle Creek 50"
* "Take Action! Vol. 3"

Amazingly, only about $45 for the whole thing. Bill Hicks, David Bowie, and the Saddle Creek 50 collection are double-discs, so they shouldn't have been included in the 3 used CD's for $20 this store does. Oopsie.

(If it means anything to anybody, Black Strobe is Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini. They're much more known for their remixes, but the only reason I've heard of Smagghe is he did an installment of the Suck My Deck series, which wins for Mix CD Series Names. This one's part of a series done with Time Out, spotlighting various places in biggly huge cities. They did New York with Fischerspooner, which was... uh, kinda interesting. That one's how I found out I love me some Fiery Furnaces, soooo... yeah. They're DualDiscs, too, so there's video of them going to different places they recommend. Not bad for tourists who hate tourists. )

I recently purchased Jackass: The Box set at Wal-Mart for $40.

Probably the best buy I have had concerning movies. Has hours of segments, a booklet, some bonus footage, etc..

It's a great DVD box set to watch when bored or hanging out with friends.

Ones who get the Jackass box set can't get in really really need the unedited CKY DVD's. I sniped 'em on eBay, only to find myself with DVD-R's. Cash cow right there. Eff noise of this persuasion, you should be able to download 'em and burn them yourself. And yes, I have the Jackass box set. Haven't watched yet, but the show cracked me the fuck up for years and I see no reason why it won't now.

Goodwill brought in a ton of the printed word (16 Doonesbury books, two (!) David Sedaris books, a little Douglas Adams, a little Leo Tolstoy, Mick Foley's first book, Isabel Allende, and Roy Blount Jr. who you ALL know from NPR quiz show Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!) but musically, only five CD's. Quality, though.

Beatles: "Past Masters Vol. 1"
Beatles: "Past Masters Vol. 2"
Ministry: "Psalm 69"
Snoop Doggy Dogg: "Doggystyle"
Trouble Funk: "Early Singles"

Ministry wins for subtitles alone (ripping these CD's now and taking in some Gin and Juice). Kneel before "The Way to Succeed and the Way To Suck Eggs." Oh, and everything was $3 each, except Doggystyle, which was five. But I'll pay a little extra for some good Doggystyle. Don't act like you wouldn't.

I've got Will Smith 'Lost and Found'. It's an old album,
but I couldn't buy it when it came out. The tracks are allright but the one that stands out is "Pump Ya Brakes"
feat. Snoop Dogg.

New thread title clears up my stance on Crashman's latest post. (That's been the policy for this thread ever since forever. Games are entertaining yes but they have their own forum.)

Hoo boy, did I add more to the pile the past couple of days (yes, since May 31st).

Phantom Planet: "The Guest"
DJ Rap: "Learning Curve"
Oingo Boingo: "Dark At the End of the Tunnel"
Melissa Ferrick: "Massive Blur"
Crystal Method: "Tweekend"
Natalie Imbruglia: "White Lilies Island"
Cee-Lo: "Cee-Lo Green And His Perfect Imperfections"
Cornershop: "Handcream for A Generation"
Black Grape: "Stupid Stupid Stupid"
Mike Ness: "Cheating At Solitaire"
Mike Ness: "Under the Influences"
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Official Soundtrack Box Set
The Wonder Stuff: "Never Loved Elvis"
David Bowie: "Black Tie White Noise"
Tin Machine: "Tin Machine"
Jamiroquai: "The Return Of the Space Cowboy"
"Fueled By Ramen: Feed Your Ears Vol. 1"
"The Who's Tommy: Original Cast Recording (Highlights)"
"Hip Hop For Respect"
Alanis Morrissette: "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie"
Happy Mondays: "Pills 'N' Thrills and Bellyaches"
Guns N' Roses: "GN'R Lies"
Beulah: "The Coast Is Never Clear"

The GTA:VC box set was only $10, and all the CD's inside are still sealed. Think I might just sell it, assuming I can download the box set and therefore, not open the CD's. Everything in that list from the beginning up to the two Mike Ness CD's were but $2, and I do wish that guy that was talking to me at that Goodwill didn't get the Rhett Miller CD. Wonder Stuff's inexplicably $4, Beulah was $1.50, everything else $3. See kids, this is how you rack up... what, probably at least 600 CD's. Maybe 700? Don't think it's THAT high. Yet.
