I'm having a bit of trouble finding the tsa data for this game, i'd like to know the various methods people use to find the TSA data. Thanks!

Guess and check. Especially since no one knows what game you're working on.

tut tut. If you read his other post he is hacking metroid zero mission. As for TSA data I'm having the same problem with nightmare in dreamland.

I thought I already gave you the offset for blockset 11.

TSA is the data where 4 tiles come forth to make up a block, right?

Edit: Blockset 11 is for rooms in Brinstar that have the brownish colour to them, like the hallway to the Brinstar Worm Boss(first time arround), not the blue background rooms. I hope that helps.

Jiggly that offset is for the actual graphics, I use the table it's pointer is in to get it but i'm looking for the way the game. I'm talking about that the thing like 4 little tiles make up a big one. :/ Would the game just store it in RAM or something?

I think that rather than search the ram you should just search the rom via corruption. Trust me. That always works.

I've only really messed with NES games so meh: Running a search for the tile's hex along with tiles next to it's hex. In other words, what the 2x2 tile would look like in hex. If it's just a plain ol' storage kinda thing, you should be able to find it just fine.

That's my experience with NES though.

604a88 IS the TSA data. The first 2 bytes are not TSA data, but what comes after it is. If you want I can make a movie to prove my point. All TSA sets will have 40 00 40 00 40 00 40 00 at the beginning, because 40 00 is a transparent block.

Edit: Okay I checked it. It is TSA data. If it doesn't seem to do anything, go to the hidden room in the first vertical passage that contains missiles(it's the one to the right, the left contains super missiles). If you have edited the 40 00, you will notice that the empty space won't be so empty.
