Why I do not know how to do this is beyond me but, how do you edit the title screen or make up my own?

i saw this somewhere. But I forgot. All I know is that the title screen level is level C5. there you can chnge the way the title screen lvl looks. I remember seeing how to record mario's actions on that level somewhere in this forum but I'm sorry I cant help you there.

In the newest version of Lunar Magic, the option to edit title screen is in the overworld editor.

Ddin't you have to put in a code to edit the title screen when you are editing the overworld? I'm pretty sure the code was "Chelsea" (case sensitive).

Nope, it's unhidden in the latest version. Check the overworld editor's File menu.

Nah, how do you insert your own title screen graphics so I can make my own? I checked all the regular GFX files but I can't find the original graphics for it.

GFX29 has the original graphics. Note that it must be done in an external editor with it in NES mode.

Actually, you have to be in Gameboy mode, not NES mode. Everything else is still the same, though.

AH! That's what's wrong! I was wondering why I couldn't find the graphics for the title screen. Why the heck would those graphics be in Gameboy mode anyway? You guys just wait, finish the title screen, 30 more levels, the hack will be done. MWA HA HA HA HAAA!

Various SNES games use the GB format for "compressing" graphics.

Yes. It's used to save space or something. Anyhow, some people (most notably ghettoyouth and peter_ac) use Layer 1 tiles to make their title screen, placing Mario high atop a ledge off the screen. It's not a bad idea either, as doing so allows you to create a more vibrant title screen.

It's not just used to save space. Layer 3 only supports a maximum of 4 colors, and thus it uses a 4-color tile format.

...And it just happens that SNES 2bpp graphics are stored in GB 2bpp format, making them the same.
