| Okay, basically.. I just broke up with my boyfriend (not Nevada) to be with this kid Nick. And I actually really really like him.. we've hooked up before.. and I was looking maybe to be with him for a while. We have SO MUCH FUN together.. yesterday made my month. And by all accounts, he really really likes me.. but he can be a weird kid like that. So, what is this AIM conversation all about?
Key: weezer= nick (not his full screename..) bohemian dreamsX= me. Weezer: im still indifferent about everything Weezer: not you Weezer: neccerally Weezer: but everything in general bohemian dreamsX: indiferent? Weezer: ill take everything a step at a time Weezer: like, im still undecided with everything Weezer: as of right now at least, this week bohemian dreamsX: oh word Weezer: i dont want a gf. Weezer: like bohemian dreamsX: yeah do what ya gotta do Weezer: im not ready yet Weezer: to date. Weezer: anyone. Weezer: for awhile Weezer: lol bohemian dreamsX: oh bohemian dreamsX: ok bohemian dreamsX: lol Weezer: only because the last like Weezer: 7 times Weezer: it was a disaster. Weezer: so for now Weezer: i want to focus on my music and shit Weezer: and school Weezer: but i still wanna kiss you Weezer: lolololol bohemian dreamsX: lolol i'm cool with that Weezer: lol worddddd bohemian dreamsX: what's a "relationship" anyways? lol Weezer: it's such a waste of time. Weezer: honestly. Weezer: it always is. bohemian dreamsX: usually Weezer: the same shit can go on without the excess bullshit. And the conversation strayed back to the events of yesterday. Basically.. we hung out and drove around.. hit up a house party.. watched the moon rise on the beach and we kissed. It was pretty damn cool if you ask me.. and it really seemed like he wanted to be with me then. Basically.. I'm not sure if he was trying to say "Yeah, I really don't like you.." or he meant what he said.. more along the lines of "I really like you, but I don't really want to be in a relationship because things get too complicated". And it's freaking me out..

| To be honest, I'm a little disturbed by how willing everyone seems to be to assume someone's who's a "player" or someone who engages in casual sex is not a good person. I used to never fool around with a girl or anything unless I was in a relationship with them, and even then I took it slow... but after hurting a lot of people and making a lot of girls unhappy, I have since changed my ways. I've been in open relationships and have engaged in casual sex, and in no way does that make me a bad person. I don't take advantage of anyone; I make sure the girl is willing and perfectly happy before anything happens (we talk about it), and the last thing I want to do is make anyone unhappy.
I'm still the first person any of my friends comes to if they need to talk or need advice on anything, and so far everyone has been happier, which is really the most important thing to me; making people happy. Guys who take advantage of girls and use them and such are not good people, but don't lump all of promiscuity into that group. |

| Well thank you for calling me a slut. I'm still a virgin and have never gotten past 2nd base, but I appreciate the criticism.. seeing as you know me so well. I don't set goals on sexual conquests.. I've never been like that, and most likely never will be like that.
In all honesty I'm just scared that he doesn't really want to be with me, and that he's kind of forcing himself to be. And I'd never want someone to do that in any situation. We've been hanging out the past couple of days and we always have fun together.. but something keeps telling me either he wants to use me, or he's forcing himself to like me. I'd never let the former occur.. but the latter I have no control over unless he talks to me about it. And yes, optimism rules. I'm overly optimistic about life in general.. I always believe that everything works out how it should. People get mad at me alot for it.. but.. whatever. |

That whole, "I don't want a relationship, but I wanna kiss you" part was a red flag to me... I'm really optimistic, too. And I've never gotten past 1st base (assuming that's the 'dating in general part'), and I'm in college and have had my heart broken twice, which may not make sense, but believe me, it can happen. But...I don't know what to tell you. But keep being optimistic. It's about the only thing that'll keep you from doing something stupid. |
