I did, but I didn't change its ASM pointer, just some flags (can't be killed by cape/fireballs).

Aside from "graphic bytes" 2 and 3, the two Chucks are identical, so I really don't know what's going on...

BMF, when you played around with the second Chuck's settings, did you change his two graphic bytes? Maybe the Pirhana leaves read from those two bytes or something.

...upon seeing this conversation, I'm now starting to fear that using sprite 12 for Goombas may have b0rked my hack for the 25342th time =(

Is there a way we can increase the sprites we can use? Like, from FF to 1FF?
EDIT: YAY NEW SCREENS TIME

So with BMF's patch, the tile used for upside down pirahnas in the cave sprite set is unused, as I'm using the same tile in a more global location. What to do with the new space?

That buzzy beetle is sweet. On another note, I always thought the black area on buzzy beetles was a nose. Now that I see that turning animation, I realize it's actually a hole for eyes!

Actually, the SMB3 style gives spinies and buzzy beetles black heads. o.o

NEW SCREENS WOO YEAH
So I was clearing out some rigid, hard-to-use graphics that were originally for the pipe bends on SMB3 pipes (which were removed for overall glitchiness) with the box platforms from SMB3. After being creative and removing the screws on the four corners and making a rather nifty anti-aliased block, I got an idea.

Switch Palaces.


As you can see, there is some anti-alias action going on down there. =]

I worked on some Map16 to use different palletes, so I can have a color per palace now. Yes, I know the FG and BG clash, but I was just testing...

Yes, I have differents colors for the Switch Palaces in my hack too, it... looks better.

Man... I did something like this about a year or so ago myself, except... I never showed it to anyone.

Nice pipes, btw, but the border's a bit thin.
