And now, an actual, in-game screenshot of the OpenPoké PokéDex.

As you can see, no type info and no footprints, but the rest is in.

Funny how the Paint mockup's description box was big enough, but the final mock's wasn't.

They don't fade out *unfortunately* like most zelda games, but you get used to it quickly.
The dungeon map is gone but was replaced by new features, so wait and see
Was there a technical reason behind the area names not fading? When I was working with Euclid we did discuss it but personally i found it hard to pull off.

And thanks for the thanks Oroch.

Finally! A use for those switches!

Hm.. what do they do now..

Hello Tails! .. and hello Tails's tails.

Welcome to the new coloured titlecard. Tails is given his own palette seeing as Sonic 1 uses those two colours replaced in Sonic 2 for him.

Did I mention Tails could fly?

.. and get tired. :3

More of Tails's tails. Angles on rolling work.

Results, with a temporary signpost. Going to edit the hand a little more.

Hm. So how does negative rings work? Does it mean if you hit an enemy, you die, and you need to get 3 rings instead of 2 to be in the safety zone again? Or does it serve a completely different purpose altogether.

And since I'm at a loss of words...

Think of the negative rings as a seperate ring count that is linked to the original.

When you have +5 rings and get hit, you spew them out. When you have -5 rings, you spew out 5 negative rings. If you have +1 ring and get a negative ring, you will have 0 rings and able to die in 1 hit. Likewise, if you have -1 ring and get a positive ring, you will have 0 rings and be able to die in 1 hit.

The negative rings are going to be used in a secondary object layout, only available once you've already played through a level. When you get -50 rings at the end of a level, you have a new set of Special Stages to beat and a new set of emeralds to collect.

So, anti-rings that decrease your ring count. Neat.

It might be nice if they just disappeared, if fading isn't feasible. I can see it being annoying having them on the screen constantly.

I vote that they stay on. Having names for the places is a good idea. Now you'll know where to go if they want you at an obscure location. Now let the waiting begin. *first in line*

Shiek is also definately 'Sheik' (just been playing OOT). Hopefully these mistakes are quick to fix (if the date on the file select screen you recently showed is anything to go by...), because everything else looks perfect.

Heh, is it bad that I didn't notice the typos either?

But the reason I didn't notice is because the screenshots themselves are awesome... I also wish those area names would fade away, but at this point I say stick to your current release date and don't worry about it. You should go through and check the game text for typos again, however, if they're even showing up the area names.

I'm sure some people will race to beat this hack first, but I'm gonna go slow and enjoy it for all it's worth.

I THINK you can't have the ship just like that. The ship needs the little plate in order to work.
You must've deleted it or something.

EDIT: Argh, someone already pointed that out. Never mind then.

I swear I had a discussion on how to spell Nayru and ended up spelling it as Naryu

Argh my OoT knowledge is so fading away... *quickly fixes all the Naryu mispellings*

On the topic of mispellings, I spell Farore wrong as well, argh.
