I couldn't resist one more screenie of my hack .. and since it's close to Christmas .. well ..

Couple interesting things that you might be interested in:

-The dead tileset has obtained a new, darker palette. Oooooh.
-Bone Spikes! Do they kill you, or do they do something else
-Huts galore! But do they contain mini-games ..

Any comments before I -seriously- slither away into nothingness?

It isn't so good
You should try an exact rip instead of trying to reproduce the thing itself.

I'm currently working on a Black & White Zelda II...
Not finished yet...
I got the idea when trying to find palettes...

Corrupt & Try. Then I got a not-so-vomit-inducing palette that was a good B&W mix. I decided to extend it to every other palettes. It's actually quite hard to get something potable, since the grays are quite limited on the NES palette (well, actually the entire color palette is very limited itself)...

Anyways, nothing special, just like a graphics hack, but still gives the game a strange look. Like an old movie or something...

Oh, and I could leave Zelda's dress in red to make it like Shindler's List...

Green-Kirby, you REALLY should try to make the blocks you get from MZM look as much like them as possible, with the exception of palettes and colors used.

Kawa, what exactly IS OpenPoke? (Get onto me about not using the alt code to put the tilde above the "e", and I'll get upset. Plus, I don't even remember what it is... ) Is it a hack of FireRed/LeafGreen?

Rockman from the old Tek Hacks site did an SMB3 hack that's fulla ideas. He got in contact with me almost two years and gave me his other smb3 hacks so I can work with'em, since he won't work on'em at all cause ya know, life gets in the way. What a nice guy.

The object of this hack is simple, get 100 coins in 100 seconds. He took out the P switch and put in a T switch to give the player 10 seconds of extra time. I'm going to make this hack for worlds long, with 5 levels in each world. This hack used to be called "Race Against Time" but I'm calling this hack "Mario in Time Flies" Good yes? Here's some screens...

The new title screen, and I took out the flashing animation...

Here's my first attempt in making the first world map, it's the final design and you'll notice that the dungeon gfx are from SMBDX for the GBC...

That's one of Rockman's levels, I'm keepin the original design he did, and from here on I'll be hacking the world 1 airship and worlds 2 3 and 4, now that I'm home for the holidays this'll be the hack to work on. I'll try to release it before my birthday or on my birthday...

Orochimaru: amazing screens as usual! I havent been this excited about a hack since...ever.

The area names is an awesome implementation, and those new areas look stunning. I doubt i'll even be able to go back to playing ALTTP after playing this hack.

Just one question - do the area names stay on-screen all the time, or do they fade out after entering an area? And also...has the dungeon map screen been given an overhaul too as well as seemingly every other aspect of the game?

Awesome work.

They don't fade out *unfortunately* like most zelda games, but you get used to it quickly.
The dungeon map is gone but was replaced by new features, so wait and see
