Chaos Force, I really like the "one large level" idea, and I'd like to try out your first hack as well. Could you post a link? Mind you, I don't try out many gameplay hacks, so the simple fact that yours has intrigued me ought to be something to be proud of

I do have a few questions, admittedly. How does saving work? If it doesn't, is the game small enough that it can be played in a single sitting, or are you relying on the player's ability to use savestates?

Oh, and in the 4th screen, while you got the 3-D spinny thing working fine, it looks awkward because nothing is attached to it. If you can, I would suggest putting some sort of vertical decoration to make it look like it has a support.

are you talking about the 3D thing in the haunted house or the rotating spike ball? b.c that's how it looked like in the game. Also, the rotating spike ball is attached to the ceiling, but if you jump across you can't see where it's attached unless you scroll upwards. I was trying to show like it looks like you can cheat and jump across, but I fixed that so you can't make it.

Also, are you talking about the skeleton mouse that like breaks if you jump on it? Thanks in advance, but what's wrong w/it? Are you suggesting that another pallete you used makes it look fine until you jump on it? I looked it up on 3-6,and that's how it looked like in the game and when I jump on it,it looks fine to me. It's like the shell breaks, how is that a glitch?

Lespna, they were talking about the thing you called a "3-d barcode thing". It's ALWAYS been attached to SOMETHING, but in the pic of yours that shows it, IT'S JUST HANGING THERE IN THE SKY! O_o

Chaos Force, exactly how far are you in The Castle 2? I liked your first one, except for a part I reached during 2-Player mode involving using those dash blocks and jump blocks to cross a large lava pit. I NEVER got across because the Podoboos and Jump Blocks about halfway through destroyed my momentum, making me crash into another Podoboo or fall into the lava (and it never would let me Spin Jump off the Jump Blocks.... ). Oh well. Maybe you'll think ahead on that..._¬ Or not. It's looking fine for now. At least you're not doing that eerie forest AGAIN. It was a bit too spooky for my tastes.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'll post a link to the first SMB:TC, once I fix a small bug in it that made it to the final version.

As for progress on this one, I'm a little less than half way though. Yeah the wall jump idea in the last game was pretty cool but it was way to glitchy. I didn't use them in this game what so ever because of that, but you will find the jump blocks and boost blocks separate.

What wall jump? I never saw a wall jump... Seriously. I avoided the 2-Player section because I could never finish it. To beat "easy" mode, I HAD TO BEGIN AT THE START IN 1-PLAYER MODE! O_o

I think I know the part you are talking about, but you aren't suppose to go that way in the 2 player mode. Anyways, I fixed the bug. You can download SMB: The Castle from the attachment below or from the "SMW Central" site in the hacks section (but that one is the older version and won't be updated for the next couple of days. Just stick to the attachment for now ).

Lemme know of any other bugs in that game, although I believe a smached them all.

Hmm .. well, you may have a fine palette then. I just know when the skeleton mouse was any other colour then the normal blue, he would turn into a glitchy sprite if the shell was broken. However, if it works for you, keep it

And yeah, I was referring to the 3D barcode thing with the Boo in the 3rd screen. It should be attached to something, probably a pillar or something

Here are some new screenies in SMW hack Mario:The Quest on Quiet Island.

These are some levels that I finished in Bowser's HQ, also in this area (if you can find them.), you'll will see some messages that someone has made.(You'll definently find one in the Doomship area.)

Now, a bonus. I know most of you guys know that I tried to make EB hacks in the past and end up cancelling them, but this time's that crap is over!

Presenting, some screenies from "The Mysterious Mine"
I haven't made any changes to the overworld sprites though...

Nice screens, but... You've made an EXTREMELY n00bish mistake on your first two SMW screens: YOU OVERWROTE THE STATUS BAR COLORS. Seriously, you might want to fix that before your next release... or a lot of people will keep getting onto you about that.

Oh, by the way, I know nothing about the game Earthbound. Would you mind telling me about it in a PM? I've been wanting to try that game out ever since SSB.

They look kinda freaky... Especially the Grapple Blocks. But that's what these test are for! [/Grinch] (Hey, it's almost Christmas. Gotta have a quote from a Christmas movie SOMEWHERE on this board! ) I like the blocks that have the X on them. Nicely done. The blocks that look ike conveyor belts look like they need a little bit more shading to fit in with all the other stuff from Super Metroid. Otherwise, they're okay. I give those edits a 3.127332546732646143215433453/5.

An experiment for a remake of Metroid 2.
I'm having some "technical" difficulties, but once I get started, you may see it online in a while. I'd like to gather up a team to work on this together, because if left alone, I will either mess it up, or just drop the idea.

What is that, MII-3? Basically, are you remaking Metroid II in Super Metroid, or are you just using graphics from Super Metroid in a Metroid II hack? (I'd help, but I've never truly hacked either game. )

It's looking good so far, but why do you have "SR388" above the landing site?

Do NOT stop no matter what.
Metroid II was awesome, and I'd love to see a remake of it. Although, you may encounter some problems with all kinds of stuff like the Spider ball. Although, Jathys is working on something like the Spider Ball.

Nevertheless, here's the map if you want it:

31/12/06? Has anyone else noticed this date?

Nice work, as always. The timer seems like a pretty nifty addition. I'm just wondering just how many things are in this hack that you've all managed to keep quiet from everyone so far.
